I have been reading some of the old posts on side effects of some of the ED drugs and saw several comments on how it made the user feel "drunk", "hungover" etc. How many of you who use these drugs are having the same effect as stated above or any other effects?
The guy I am dating was so "out of it" we would have been better off not using anything so I am wondering how many other people are having these issues and does one drug seem less likely to do this. He used Cialis at the time but also has some viagra.

honeydew, this is exactly why, in all these ED drug threads, I keep stressing that ED drugs are not a good choice for recreational drugs, and that if a man has no erectile dysfunction, he should NOT take the ED drugs. The side effects and risks are just not worth it.

I can't answer your question, though. I have neither needed nor used ED drugs.

Unfortunately this is not for recreational use. He has diabetes and that has led to ED problems. We are trying to find a safe way to have a sexual relationship. The drugs he has are samples to find out what works.

Keep talking to the doctor. If one drug does not work well, another may, and there are other non-surgical methods and devices that may be useful in helping him get and maintain an erection.

Also, you probably already know this, and I don't want to sound like I'm preaching... but if he is getting peripheral nerve damage, it is especially important to be very strict with the blood sugar control. I wish you the best!

I've tried them all and never felt like I was getting a buzz, except between my legs, that is. Side effects I have experienced are headache and flushed face. But in my experience the side effects are pretty mild and well worth it. (I'm on other meds with some degree of "sexual side effects" and this is remedied with today's ED meds.)

The effects both pro and con can vary with the dosage. The "standard" dosage of 50mg of Viagra or 20mg of Cialis is intended for someone who has severe ED. For someone who has mild ED, it's much better to use a pill splitter and try a much smaller dosage, and then gradually try larger dosages, if necessary. There are all kinds of undesirable effects from taking too much, and everybody's response seems to be a little bit different.

The pill splitter is a great way to go. The largest size costs about the same as a smaller size, so it's cheaper to get, for example, a 100 mg Viagra and cut it to 50 mg or 25 mg as needed.
