Java - you can't live with it.

Do you have any add-ons in Firefox to stop scripts form running - e.g. NoScript, YesScript etc ? These can prevent Flash applications from running unless you approve them.

I don't believe there is any dependance on Java for Chat - it is entirely Flash as far as I know, but there are scripts which need to run to launch the Chat application. you could try adding lpsg.org into your 'safe / allowed' list of sites for pop-ups, scripts etc and retry.

If all else fails you can try uninstalling and reinstalling firefox. You should back up your bookmarks first.

If chat is failing to load or stops at a certain percent, try emptying your web browsers cache and clearing out your cookies and history. This usually sorts out the issue.

Out of interest, perhaps you could try installing a brand new browser (such as Chrome or Safari) and see if this works?

Well I checked for solutions on the web...apparently lots of people are having problems...I installed 3.66...that started the problem...then installed 3.6.8 that was supposed to fix it...and changed my dom.ipc settings to false from true...still not working...at a complete loss now...perhaps I need to call att and have them remote fix it!
