two_fister: I recently have been offered the chance to appear in a video with a rather well known interent women...one night I stumbled upon her site, and sent her an email telling her that I thought she looked hot and that I enjoyed her site.....a few days later I got an reply.
We emailed back and forth for a while, and exchanged some pics, and now she wants me to appear in a video with her(I probably wont)...but I was curious to see if anyone else has done anything like that, and if so, then how was the experience.

two_fister: even though I'm 98% sure this will never happen...I dont think there's anything demeaning about it...and if dirty old men were the only people watching porn, it wouldn't be much of an industry.  In fact I've read some stats. that are say that it's women who are buying almost half of the porn sold.

Lovembig: If you would like a female point of view... I think I would buy a video if it catered more to women. If it featured both good looking guys AND big penis'. Matter of fact, I know I would. I just have yet to see many. :p

A buddy of mine does some film work out in LA and all I can say is be sure you are well informed and are sure about what you are doing. No judgement here but from looking at the industry from his perspective, it's a slippery slope that started as an ego boost and now he's trying to get out of videos. I have been asked often but it's not for me.

DirkDiggler: I am sure its flattering that someone asks you but I think that most people who get into it regret it in the end.It just seems that there are some unpleasant characters involved who take advantage .
I have never imagined that many women would be into porn, maybe I am wrong.

Well, Dirk...I've gone the video route and have had no regrets thus far. I can't say that apprearing in front of the camera is for everyone. If you have any (and I do mean *ANY*) reservations about your video work and any effects it may have on your personal life, don't do it. Keep in mind that your image is captured on tape so this stays with you for the rest of your life. I don't mean to rain on your parade, but this is honestly the best advice I can offer you.

On the other hand, if you aren't bothered by the exposure of appearing in a video, run with it. It can be fun (depending on the company involved).

Finally, as with any situation...read the contract before you sign.

OK...good luck...that's my two cents worth.

AnonyMs: Dirk: If you are thinking of ever running for public office or even being the partner of someone who might run for public office, you might want to consider saying no to the video gig. It might also let you out of the running for any of these reality tv shows that are popping up all over the place. Of course, you do not have to worry about the video making you turn your Miss America tiara back in and seeing the first runner up take over.....

I've read some stats that say women are about half the world's population.

Wait, if women are buying that much porno, does it mean they buy gay porn the way we buy lesbian porn?

You might be surprised. In New Orleans gay porn rentals by women are not in the least uncommon. I don't understand this trend myself; I'm just reporting it.

gigantikok: you may claim that you don't want to do this, and the odds of you accepting this project are astronomical, but come on. You aren't fooling me. You know you want to do it, if you didn't you would have just said no to this woman straight up and not given it a second thought. The fact that you posted this topic is proof this keeps circling your mind, and if it keeps circling your mind it must be doing so because deep down you want to say yes. If you are afraid of what others think or want to keep your privacy, do it faceless, that's what i do! But stop denying yourself the opportunity to do what alot of men dream about...have sex and get paid for it!

Of course, i might be wrong and if i am, slap me silly! :p

Let me guess, the other half of the porn is sold to....men? :D

;DI have done a few(gay & straight) video shoots. I can tell you that it is alot harder to keep it up the 1st time you are in front of the camera. My only concern is if this is for private use or for profit. You don't want the wrong people seeing your dick by accident. My shoots were no face only. I have made some for my self, but those are locked up(think tommy lee/pam anderson).

two_fister: gigantikok.....

you were right, and as a matter of fact I just returned from doing the shoot, I have a whole new respect for the men in porn....as it turned out I was unable to deliver the "money shot"....I was able to get it up, but I just couldn't finish..and as a result they won't be able to use the video, it was quite the experience though...the lights, her husband, the fact that I'd just met her in person a few min. earlier. She was a bit older than she looked online...but still sexy...was it worth it?.....I think so, and I think I'll probably do it again....it's probably not for everyone though.

Well, from what I've read, this has been going on in Japan for about a decade. It's called yaoi there. (It's an acronym for "Yamete! Oshiri ga itai!" [Stop! My ass hurts.])

Hmmmm.  I thought yaoi was an acronym for the words Yamanashi, iminashi, and ochinashi meaning "Without climax, without meaning, without resolution."

Don't take that literally, though.  The relationships between the men featured in yaoi works (also known as "boys' love" and "June" literature) feature sometimes graphic representations of sex, but the term emphasizes a certain misfortune involved -- that, even in love, the feelings are periously doomed to live without fruition or acceptance.

In related news, the men involved usually conform to gender roles, with one male taking the visibly and dictated feminine role.  There's a domineering, masculine, and strong counterpart.  If drawn naked, these men usually go without body hair and, because of a societal distaste for bodily emissions, climax sequences are often drawn as brilliant gatherings of light with appropriate facial expressions.

Redone: There is an amateur video company that goes out looking for couples to have sex in front of the camera. They don't have much trouble finding couples to perform for them. What I find kind of neat is that while they are looking for couples, they are also talking to single guys and they find one that wants to watch the scene being filmed. They only requirement is that you have to get naked and jack off in front of the camera while watching the scene. I was one of the guys. Honestly, it was a totally cool experience. I look at it as not only getting to watch a hot couple have sex, but I'm also sharing a part of my sexuality with other men that will be watching the video. Hell, I didn't do anything the guys at home aren't doing while watching, the only difference is that I'm letting others watch me. It was too fun.

TragicWhiteKnight: "Stop! My Ass Hurts!" sounds like it would would be a hilarious sequel for the Sylvester Stallone flick "Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot!"

And that's about all I can say on this topic. I was once asked to play a scary stranger in a friend's public information video (I got to say "Lollipops!"). I really hope it wasn't a porn film in disguise...
