i disagree with both of the previous posts. not in a hostile way, but from the point of view of a performer.
i know plenty of men and women, straight, metro and gay, who do various amounts of grooming. shaping the eyebrows is open to anyone.
if anything, you just need to know what you're looking for. some people shape for just that, a shape. this would be the girls with pencil thin lines, and just unnatural looks
the other form of shaping is for facial distinction. shaping the eyebrows so that they hit harder on your face. ie. you furl your brow, or do 'The Rock' face raising one eyebrow furling the other, etc. you shape the best contour to your muscles so that you look ''cleaner''
and your final option is just a trim of stray hairs, which is just removing the hairs that grow darker/dense enough around the natrual brow that make it look 'furry'
Peter Gallagher just trims
Brooke Shields uses shape method 2
Beyoncé uses method 1
most comedians use method 2
most TV personalities use method 1
and most well-known people known for who they are use method 1 or 3 for signature looks
Zac Efro uses method 2 but crossing into method 1 because he has a signature look.
get it?
so i say go for it. you really aren't running any risks until you pass method 2 going into method 1. but it's all based on how your hair grows and your face. I can trim quite alot because my eyebrows aren't very dense. so if i trim, it just looks clean, i can shape quite a bit before it starts to look 'shaped'
but of the other hand if your brows are really dense or a real contrast to your face (dark brows on a pale face, or blonde hair with brunette brows, etc) you less play area
