Too funny, @TuckMeUnder ! I guess Munsingwear were really leaning into the fact they'd been around for 89 years, though that model maybe was closer to 69?
He reminds me a little of the grandfather from the Beatles film, "A Hard Day's Night".

Very sexy ad! I wasn't able to read the print to see if the model featured was an Olympian from the '84 Sarajevo Games, but loving the ad and the underwear!

In looking for similar Olympic underwear tie-ins, I found this one from 1952....

I remember a half page b/w ad from the back of GQ in the late 70s. Was of a very small brief down around a pair of ankles. Still gives me a thrill thinking about it.

I tried Googling it too, but with no luck. The model had no socks, both feet on the floor. I think the hands were similar to picture above... Whether taking them off or putting them on was up to the readers imagination.

Boy did I imagine...

Actually that second one looks just like a previous post but the guy on the left in the other one is wearing navy blue, but it’s basically the same shot with light blue instead. I think the other fireman one was a different group as well.
