Thank you sooooo much. I do love DOWNTON ABBEY and Allen Leech as Tom Branson was my favourite young character in the series, just saw Downton Abbey II The film which fascinated me tremendously.

O.k., we had some gay moments with Rob James Collin as Thomas Barrow
but a short lockerroom scene with the actors in underwear would have been fantastic indeed!

Once again, thanks for this posting. I add some pics of that wonderful actor.

But I simply have to add that the most fascinating character from the beginning to the end was and will always be MAGGIE SMITH as Countess of Grantham.

Totally agree, @teddybaerli1 , I'm looking forward to seeing the DA film soon!
Of course, Dame Maggie Smith shine in just about any role she's been in, even when she's playing a homeless woman or a grumpy pensioner. Bless her!
Some of my fave roles of hers were in 'Murder By Death' and 'Clash Of The Titans'.

I don't recall this ad from the 1990s, but I would've definitely saved it to my secret stash, back then!
Sadly, I threw out my collection of 80s and 90s underwear ad clippings, but I know someone out there must have a similar collection and hope they'll share here, one day!

It was very very bold of companies to do this in the70's.Plenty of guys would see skimpy bikini briefs, especially in "girly" colors and decide they were 'gay." I guess the underwear folks won in the end, as now there are all kinds. I suppose there was some visionary guy at the underwear company who said, "Let's shake 'em up by giving 'em this!"
