I don't really find these terribly sexy, but it's interesting to see the old designs and how often they were made of a mesh fabric. I wonder what they felt like to wear. Somehow I doubt they were as comfortable as advertised, but maybe I'm wrong.
Thanks, @Meniscus ! This satisfies my interest in clothing styles and history, even if, like you, I also don't find these very sexy at all.

Mostly, I was thinking to feature vintage ads from the 1940s/50s through the early 2000s. Of course, we wouldn't have those styles without the basis of the styles featured in these images.

Wow! Very sexy ad, never seen this one before! Any idea of the brand and time period? I can't really tell from their hairstyles, but the prices suggest it's pre-1980s, maybe?
Well, the company isn't mentioned. I would guess it's from the late 70=ies or early 80=ies. Maybe someone else do know more. Cheers-Ted

I came from a large family, there was not a lot of money to be had so my mother made our clothes. When I was twelve I got a job working for a farmer, my first pay check I bought socks, underwear and a pair of 501’s. I thought I was a king.
Wow, that's pretty amazing! Some stuff we just take for granted, but it's interesting to hear about your experience. I imagine those first purchases of yours made you feel like a King! :emoji_prince:

Maybe it wouldn't be bad to try getting that book, it surely will deliver further information appreciated by all underwear friends. But I fear that book isn't available anymore or at least hard to get. Anybody got it?

A used copy is $12.95 via Amazon, but I'm sure there may be other place to find it, for those that don't want to go that route.

Hehehe, when it came to UnderGear, the undies and swimwear was practically interchangeable. Sexy model! I never really researched the models so thanks for the info, @Meniscus !

It's funny you should say that, because as I was selecting the images I posted, I was wondering "are these underwear or swimsuits"? In the end, I decided it didn't matter because, as you said, when it came to Undergear, they were pretty much interchangeable (at least in terms of how they looked).

At the time, I didn't know who the models were, either. Their names weren't published in the catalogs. But as people began sharing pics of hot guys online, I gradually learned a few of their names.

With regards to the model, I'm sorry to inform you that Spencer committed suicide in 1997 at the age of 27. Apparently he had pretty serious body dysmorphia and thought he was ugly. There's some information in the attached picture.
