Well, naked chemical warfare might be my thing.

Of course, me melting might just put people off sex AND violence forever!

Schitza! Obviously you haven't seen the new "House of Wax". Otherwise you'd know just how That'd go, all that and Paris! Win win! ( <-- for clarification, that's what we call sarcasm) Actually, not half as bad as I thought, and, hate to say it, Paris wasn't shitty. She's not good, but not the worst Ive seen in major release. And...... back to the topic...

But at least in doing that you wouldn't be ashamed of your body, now would you? Pissed? Uh huh. Let down? I imagine. But not ashamed, at least before the melting.

Sephiroth: American society is like that. Though when I went to Europe for a vacation on t.v. there's was a fair amount nudity but almost no violence.

IMO, young children shouldn't be able to view rough sex or extreme violence, but I doubt nudity or mild violence has any very bad effects.

I would mostly agree, children seeing nudity (in a nonsexual natural way) first hand shows them that their body is nothing to be ashamed of, which is good. Where as, seeing even the mildest violence could cause the same result; the children seeing violence as nothing to be ashamed of. In that regard, it would have a bad effect. I think that you should let them see movies with violence and all parts of humanity, but I feel too many parents either don't give two shits what their kids are watching or they're blocking channels, no explaination. All this to avoid an "uncomfortable/akward" talk with their kids (but, God forbid, they get sex ed in school, "cause I don't want some wacko talking to my kid about that stuff." And the parents still don't). We can teach them to throw a perfect spiral, or braid their hair, but teach them to be a well adjusted member of society? It's uncomfortable/akward. Ignorance is taught, people are naturally curious, especially kids. Give them the knowlege the want, appropriate truthful answers. Im sure there's more than a handful of us that got some crazy-ass, bullshit answers from other kids. Now there's an interesting topic, the most bullshit story from another kid.

Anyway, sorry for getting all nuts there, things that seem like they should follow logic and don't irritate me to no end.

People teach their kids to vote Republican, but can't teach their kids.... aaagh. Ok, Im stopping... for now.

I dunno, seeing a huge wang on TV as a kid might have caused some weirdness!

Saying that, attitudes to violence is weird..check out Abu Garib on the news, I'm surprised anyone could hold down their food.

Yet the Matrix was seen as being "a bad influence on kids".

Well, part of it, I think, is because Westerners are perverts.

Datum: Molestation can cause numerous psychological problems.
Sane solution: Don't allow adults to have sex with children.
Projective solution: Don't allow children to experiment with each other. Tell them masturbation's wrong.
Homophobic solution: Punish same-sex molestation worse than heterosexual molestation.
Oedipal/Electra solution: Oh, and punish non-incestuous molestation worse than incestuous molestation while we're at it.
Borderline solution: Show girls dancing in Catholic school uniforms singing about having sex with a guy.
Obsessive-compulsive solution: Don't even allow children to be naked, or to see nudity.
