What next?

Will they show you a pig being slaughtered before you buy bacon at the supermarket?
Will they show you a child working in a sweatshop before you buy clothes?

It's a crazy, crazy world.

bottom line, if you dont want the government to get all up in your business; vote democratic.

his is beyond invasion of privacy.
I'd like to shove a scolding hot vaginal ultrasound wand up the woman's ass and vagina who authored this insanely disgusting bill (yes, it really was a woman).

I think Jon Stewart explains it best
Punanny State - Virginia's Transvaginal Ultrasound Bill - The Daily Show with Jon Stewart - 02/21/12 - Video Clip | Comedy Central

The Virginia House of Delegates passed on Wednesday a revised version of a GOP-sponsored informed consent bill that would require women to undergo an ultrasound at least 24 hours before having an abortion. The new bill, which requires women to receive an external, transabdominal ultrasound rather than a more invasive transvaginal ultrasound, passed by a vote of 65-32.

but the bill is still ridiculous, good article.

GOP's on a real bender for kickin roundin up groups of uninformed, untrained men to legislate women's healthcare all of a sudden.

Fuckin mysoginistic imbeciles.

Is it bad that I'm a little glad this bill passed, if only to help bring illumination and awareness to what a bunch of sick fucks people are voting into office?

@ Dolfette: Which is exactly what the people who proposed the bill want. But it's been getting tons of backlash from women across the country so there's still hope that the bill can get axed.

This is horse shit but it's our gov. at work protecting us because we don't know what we are doing.

Big brother is here to make sure it's children (citizens) don't do something crazy.

Whatever they all can fuck off.

Why is an ultrasound supposedly necessary before an abortion anyway?
I don't understand what they're looking for
Can someone explain it?

but how many women will suffer before the courts make it official?

Hopefully none since the bill hasn't reached the state senate yet.

Terrible :( I never even knew you had to have an ultrasound before an abortion? Shows how naive I am.

Are abortions legal in all states in the US? They aren't here.

It was never a requirement to have an ultrasound before having an abortion. That's a new requirement that the new bill added. So far abortion has never been illegal here but it's still difficult since abortion clinics are scarce in some states.

The idea is to guilt trip women into not having an abortion. I think most women who choose that option would go through with it though.
