H8Monga: Aussiechick, I haven't read all the posts in this thread and missed that one. Yes it is still a crime if the teacher is female, ask Mary Kay LeTourneau. She's in jail now for sleeping with her 14 year old (I think that was his age) and mothering two kids by him. That's definitely pedophile territory, but usually women pedophiles are less notorious and usually get by especially since guys really don't seem to think it's a problem when it is. I do not believe anyone should be having sex in their early teens, so I have a problem with the fact of children having sex, even if it is consensual.
I know a few people who have admitted having sex at 12 and they know I find it a shame, some regret it. Usually it's with someone older. One guy said when he was 12 he slept with his girlfriend's mother after she found out he was hung (I've reported that somewhere around here), and that to me is shameful, but he didn't seem to think so. The minds of guys when it comes to sex is an intriguing thing.

I'm the first to admit that twelve was too young to have sex. However I don't feel like I've been permanently damaged because of it. I'm 21 now so it happened almost ten years ago. At the time I didn't feel like a child, I was already six foot three. I felt like a man because I had a man sized body. I'm not interested in pressing charges or anything, would be embarssing for me and my family. I do agree totally with you about this and woudn't feel good about it if it were my own kid, but the teacher in question isn't a teacher anymore.
