Someone told me this would enable me to capture stills from DVDs.
It's supposed to be free. Anyone else using it and does it work?

Yes it has a snapshot feature. Its also the best player to have for playing various file formats on your PC. Its essential.

VLC is a great player and is what I use for my viewing pleasure on my PC. The snapshot feature works well.

Never used the snapshot feature but it plays almost everything.

I downloaded it however I can't capture and now my computer is running slower than usual. I have tried uninstalling so hopefully I will regain my speed.

I discovered my PC with Windows XP still has that capability so if I want to get stills from DVDs, I'll use it.

    Thanks anyway.

VLC can also be used as a non-installed version, which is just packed into a zip file, thus avoids the need to be installed.... you just open the main exe inside it.

VLC is the best video player bar none and the snapshot feature makes it hands down the best online that I've found!
