I was only about 12 years old when laying in bed with my transistor radio and heard this womans voice. It was so powerfull and amazing that i got up out of bed and turned the light on. To me she is the one. There is no other. There will never be another. Edith Piaf :smile:

Anastacia, not as popular in the US as elsewhere, I believe.

I'm not sold so much on the songs, though many are fine enough as the raw power behind the voice which, I'm sure, could push treacle up a sandy hill.

How frightfully spiffing.....just kidding, but I have been told I have a damn sexy telephone voice on several occasions. I'm not sure much of a factor the accent was though. :smile:
