I think its complete bollocks, doesnt it all depend on the bonestructure as well!? I am a 33/34 waist with 6.6 ft and I am everything but fat or so.
Oh well, some people have problems I do not want to worry about.

Been lucky as hell during my life. I am just about the same size that I was in my last year of high school. Turned 50 on the 28th. I am 5'6", 132lbs, 40 chest, 29 waist. I hardly even work out, I try. Usally just to busy. Good genes I guess. When I got out of high school I was 5'6", 118lbs, 27 waist.

I'm 5'8", 135 lbs, 29" waist. I usually wear 28 or 29" pants when I can find them. 30" pants are typically very loose. This is basically the same as when I finished high school, many years ago.

Like others have said, waist size is both about the bone structure and your fat level, but your bone structure really sets your waist size if you are not overweight.

Like others have said, waist size is both about the bone structure and your fat level, but your bone structure really sets your waist size if you are not overweight.

Plus muscle mass. If you've got some big muscles around there (obliques?) they are going to take up some space.

my height= 6'1" and 160lbs. and had a 30" waist until 8 months ago. after my accident and recovery i gained 30 pounds and blimped out to a 36" waist. am sick about that.
but when i was working out all the time and eating right i was 30" waist. its not unreasonable.

Exactly. I'd rather a guy have a thicker waist and some junk in the trunk than a skinny waist and flat/no ass any day!
