Why do you guys think that there are a lot of single gay guys around?

My theory is that all of them are waiting for the next best thing that's the reason why they don't want to settle. I'm guilty of this too. I don't know if this only occurs in big cities where there are plenty of fish to catch. But, when does one know that he wants to settle down with a guy? I've been on both sides: I've broken someone's heart because I don't think he's good enough and my heart was broken a few times because the other guy was not that into me.

Thoughts?

Personally, I think there are as many reasons as there are men.
There is a lot of promiscuous activity with gays, though I am not saying all gay people are promiscuous or any more so than straight or bisexual people.
I think sometimes people are looking out for something new or the next best thing as some people find it hard to enjoy or be satisfied with what they have. I believe this is also why so many relationships fail, where as people do not work at relationships when they are in trouble or things are not going well. People are to quick to give up.
I also think the word 'love' is thrown around much to frivolously, to the point where it becomes a word with little meaning.

Also there is still a certain sense of superficiality within the gay community still.
Then again there is a lot of diversity where there are more butch or more camp types of guys and everything in between. Not everyone finds butch guys or camp guys attractive. Some people can be to fussy and picky and don't get to know the person behind the looks.

These are my humble and simple opinions anyway
