There are a few things here to consider. The first is that Ken Osmond, the actor who portrayed character "Eddie Haskell" is and always was an individual with a very conservative and "intolerant" background. To make things worse, he had a mild resemblence physically to porn actor John Holmes which made troubles for him as a Los Angeles Police Officer. In one instance a porn producer used the name "Eddie Haskell" implying that Holmes and Osmond were in essence the same person. Ken Osmond retired from Show Business and became a Los Angeles Police Officer. He was decorated for meritorious service in the line of duty, and wounded three times in the line of duty. Finally he retired on a full medical pension from the police department on that basis. He invested well and saved his money. He did a bit of acting after retirement and came back in "Still the Beaver" which ran for a short time. He is the Father of actor Eric Osmond.
Tony Dow the actor who portrayed Wally Cleaver after his retirement as a child or teen actor went back to school and studied a great deal. He has been involved in a construction business for years. He is also of a very conservative background and lives to this day only a short drive from 90+ year old Barbara Billingsley who portrayed his television "Mom".
If any show was one that was so squeaky clean as to be sanitized it was this one. Hugh Beaumont, who portrayed Ward Cleaver had been an ordained minister before going into show business and retired to operate a christmas tree farm in Minnesota after beaver. Beaumon't son is a world recognized professional in medicine. He was visiting his son in Munich, Germany when he suddenly was stricken with a major heart attack and passed away.
Sorry Guys, I am working on a book manuscript for an e-book dealing with this business and dealing with the lives of many of the older sit-com and television people after they left the limelight of the small screen right now.
