I agree with this 100%.

Honestly, these guys saying you need to look perfect to be in porn is hilarious. So many people in gay or straight porn look like downright trainwrecks. Hell, even the ones that have nice bodies rarely have very attractive faces. And as for being 8+ only? Completely untrue. The average size I'd say is 6.5" inches in porn, gay or straight. You guys buy waaaay too much into porn measurements.

Um, those of is who made those comments WERE ACTUALLY, IN PORN! We said he's not going to make it with major studios.

And many gay porn stars have very artificial-looking bodies. And their rectums look damaged (Paul Wagner anyone?). I even see that some of the dudes in straight porn are steroid addicts (and they're oh so homely, too). Can't anyone be natural today? That's to say no steroids, no penis pumping, no viagra, no six-packs, ...

A little tummy and lovehandles are normal. A dude can still look fit with a little meat on him. In fact, he looks sexier that way than if he's all ripped with no fat on his bones.

A normally muscular man about 5'11-6'0 with a big peter who doesn't break the mirror when he looks into it.:biggrin1: Does he exist? He's the dude I want to see in my adult movies (I shouldn't be watching them anyways).

Yes, and THATS the standard this out of shape kid is going up against. You may not like it personally, but THATS the standard these days. It's not just in porn either. The average young guy these days is far more buff than 20 or more years ago. It's a result of the whole metrosexual thing.

hi, thought this would be the right place to do this. started a blog about this but got views and no comments. I am serious about wanting to get into gay porn and would like to know what you guys out there would think. want to do gay porn mainly solos and circle jerks and maybe fucking or sucking in the future. I may not look the part right now but want to lose weight. also want to know if anyone has an advice or website I can try to apply to. only serious comments and critiques will be accepted, any kind of hate will be deleted immediately

some pics are older, when I was under 200, starting to lose weight and wanna get back to 198 or so. pm me or comment on here if you can help or have any helpful advice
Aim low and you're sure to hit your target.
I dare say that you believe doing gay porn will add some kind of interesting dimensionality to your life. It will. For a brief period. But don't think it will make you the most popular guy in the room. In fact, your world will get smaller and you will find yourself still with the very thing that made you question your goodness, your character and your originality. Exercise to feel good about yourself. You won't need to do porn validation. It's both a biochemical reaction and "psychological" -- and YOU win on both parts by doing it.

i think it is sensible and not puritanical in the slightest to caution about risky behaviors that are more prevalent in the porn community, especially for gay porn. homophobic? come on. treatment centers that target gay populations do so because there ARE many diseases, conditions and risky behaviors that are more prevalent among gays. pointing it out is not to suggest that we're depraved to the core, but to acknowledge a natural consequence of the fact that society has, systematically and for decades or even centuries, dealt us shitty cards by denying us access to important institutions, discriminating against us, and punishing us for expressing our affection and sexuality publicly, thereby forcing us to hide these parts of ourselves in the shadows and in cultural ghettos.

that said, those of you who are speaking from a place of experience within the industry are speaking a lot of truth. most people who dabble in the industry will not have it follow them around for the rest of their lives -- for every news story about a terrific teacher who 'resigns' because porn of him from 20 years earlier surfaces, there are legions of other former porn actors who are never known to have been in the industry by their current peers. and it is true that the industry is very aware of historical and ongoing issues of health and risky behavior among its professionals, and rightly expends a lot of effort to try to combat these. are they doing the best job they could? probably not. but people can still navigate the industry safely.

i think bigbull29 is giving sensible advice for the op. while it's true there are niches in gay porn that cater to tastes outside the typical white jock with washboard abs, cute face and a huge cock, it's naive at best to assume there's a niche of porn viewers out there who want to watch someone like you over all else the industry has to offer. it's simply not true for ~99% of us -- and likely for you too. but if you want to find out if there's a niche for you, there are ways to dip your toes into the water without throwing yourself completely in this. jacking off on cam is a good suggestion. you should make sure you can even make it to the front page of cam4 on a slow night before you can put your bets on making it on a porn site. personally, i really don't think you have the right look to distinguish yourself in any niche that's out there right now, no matter your level of fitness. but if you wanna prove to us otherwise, that's not a bad way to start.

I understand this: Small-framed men trying to look like He-Man is the standard. It's just not in gay porn, but it's also gone mainstream. Yes, there are hairy daddies and twinks who don't fit that mold, but they aren't the pretty jock cover boy of gay porn.

Many, as I've already said, have very unattractive faces, so I don't see how a few muscles from steroids makes a difference (but I'm not a gay man, nor do I have a muscle fetish). I can't change gay culture, let alone the mainstream one.

Boys are bulking up so much that they're looking downright awkward and clumsy. They seem to be emulating WWE men, who are already naturally big men. And many of these pro wrestlers have a little meat on them, too, even if they're on steroids to some degree (don't agree with it). In my mind, some of them should be making porn, provided they're well-hung.:biggrin1: And, yes, straight men would very much enjoy seeing these big studs in their movies with the woman of their dreams, particularly if they were to have real donkey dong between their legs.

^ I have to say this: Straight men are more interested in seeing a super big cock than a hot muscle dude. True gay men, as much as they may love big cocks, are generally more interested in the overall male body.

Thanks. It was bizarre to be accused of homophobia because I posted a link to a site that treats the LGBT community. What a weirdo that kid is.

I think Donald Trump-types do much more damage in the world than any pornstar (unless you're a male who abuses females in the industry).

I don't think making hardcore is a good decision. However, it's not my business what others do if they're not hurting me directly in any way.

I have no discrimination against male or female porn stars. I just don't think it's a good life choice.

If you really have strong desire to make porn, I would simply recommend: webcam striptease, JO...and if you must push the envelope, have sex with your lover on cam (make sure you are in a pretty committed relationship and practice safe sex).

There are a lot of risks and dangers to making hardcore porn - gay or straight. Just be aware.
