Recently, a close friend has started doing porn. He asked if I had seen his video and I had to tell him, no. I gave him my reason: I don't have a problem seeing anyone, including friends naked, just naked and having sex. He thinks it is odd, because I've photographed him nude a million times. There is a difference, though, between photographing someone nude and watching them have sex.

I was wondering (and thought this might be a good place to ask): If a close friend of your's did porn, would you watch their video?

The only circumstance in which I would do it is if I watched it with him, with the proviso that I can stop at any time, and even then it would depend on the friend.

Strangely I don't mind seeing people I know having sex in real life, but then that's real life, not porn and I'm not watching so much as seeing it taking place. I guess I'm saying that I draw the line on getting off on watching my friends. It would create some serious feelings of lust, causing me to objectify my friends, probably damaging the relationship. Why risk it just to have a good jack?

I think it would depend on several things. I wouldn't reject it out of hand, but if it were my type of porn (not hetero) and the friend were hot in person and on video, then I'd probably watch it. I don't know whether the closeness of the friendship would be a factor in my decision.

I can think of one college roommate who I'd be glad to see in porn. I can think of far more friends who I have no interest in seeing on film.

I've seen 2 sexually explicit films in which friends of a friend have separately appeared. Am glad that neither knows me very well nor knows that I've seen them in action, primarily because these films and the guys' performances aren't notable. I wouldn't want to be put on the spot telling them my honest opinion.

I voted no, for basically the same reason as the OP. I don't want to watch my friends have sex, that's just a little too weird for me.

I have a friend who shows me videos of him in sexual acts, so it's not so weird now. But if it were a friend who I had not seen on that level, like most (almost all) of my friends, then it would be quite strange.

I guess in that light, it's like having a friend who sings and then going to that friend's concert.

I have friends who have appeared in gay porn and I have seen it. I have given my opinion about it or I have watched because they have wanted to show me their performances.

I do not get turned on by it. I think it is the cross over from reality to fantasy mainly but it is also a bit like an incest taboo. Friends are friends and not fantasy sex objects.

I have also seen an ex-lover of mine in porn and that was sexually arousing - probably because I have an existing sexual as0pect to my relationship.

In addition, many years ago I met a group of gay porn actors in San Francisco, many of whom I had seen in movies. Having got to know them, which was an odd experience as I felt that I knew them intimately already, I found that whilst I could still get aroused by watching their movies it was significantly less so than previously.

I actually have seen a porn that a friend of mine was in (It was even for a major adult film company) and it kinda freaked me out, but I was glad that I didn't get turned on by it...because then I'd have some issues that would probably strain our relationship.

Also, my best friend has been a stripper for about two years now and she's been asking me to come down and see her. She thinks that just because I'm gay, I'll be less uncomfortable around her and her swingin' titties...not the case.

In high school, I had a very good friend who would tape the moans and groans he and his many conquests would make during sex. I think I made it through 4 minutes before saying "I have to meet my family for dinner." I wasn't completely lying, but I wasn't supposed to meet them until much later. I remember getting to the restaurant much earlier and sitting there having soda and thinking how disgusting I felt listening to that as I knew the people and had no intimate thoughts about either of them.

Had I felt some attraction or physical intimacy for the pair, it might be a different story, but as it stood, I didn't.
