So I'm giving up on Maximus - a "water-based sensual lubricant" as I've been getting itchy and severely dried out skin (after taking a shower) and I think it comes from the propylene glycol in it.

The ingredients include highly purified water, propylene glycol, cellulose polymer disodium edta phenoxyethanol, methyl paraben, butyl paraben, ethyl paraben and propyl paraben.

I might just stick with oil!

I've been using Gun Oil - H2O. I like it better than the oil based lubes, and it cleans up easily. It also doesn't dry out as fast as other water based lubes. I don't have problems with dryness, and I have dry skin everywhere else but my knob. I checked the label and there is propylene glycol in it. Perhaps its another ingredient that maybe giving you problems. Go to cheaplubes.com and you may be able to get a sample. They also have tons of other lubes.

What about hand lotions. I use one called Roskan - brilliant. Masturbation only. I wouldn't use it with a partner, female or male, just in case.
