looks like websites will lose
Social Media Protections section 230

soo many sites will shut down operations because of it

ouch
Apart from the court actions which will drag on for months its really a question of who blinks forts.
Will Twitter suspend Trump's account and be a accused of stifling free speak
or
will Trump close his account?
Every act of censorship by revealing Trumps lies will be met with indignation and m ore publicity.
Trump needs Twitter.
The thing is do Twitter need Trump?

Like most things that Trump never thinks through, or thinks about at all, that he never "what if's" if his executive order was able to do what he wanted and they did loose the "we are just a platform" bullshit then if they were viewed as a publisher they would be MORE restrictive not less and screen Trumps tweets more and possibly even delete his account due to multiple TOS violations

All of which is the opposite of what he supposedly wants

I have always been surprised that some ingenious hacker has not been able to go in a disable the mobile phone account that he uses for all that tweeting, disable it all together or make it "receive only" or give it the ability to only make voice calls no data mode in or out.

I can only imagine just how unglued Trump would get if for like a week he could not access twitter

Can you imagine what a whiney bitch he's going to be when he's retired. So depressing.

I can’t imagine that time won’t be in jail. I think that’s what frightens him most about the possibility of losing. He seems to be in full blown panic/next phase dementia mode.

As hateful as Mr Trump is, the United States is not a country that jails its former Presidents. The next Democratic Attorney General is going to be under tremendous pressure.

If there's any president deserving of prison it is Trump for a host of crimes. There is no law I'm aware of other than it isn't customary to pursue former presidents.

Trump could face jail time after leaving office

If a website's servers aren't based in the US are they still subject to US laws?
yes they're other wise you can't do business in the country..

say for the EU you are subject to those laws it's one of the reason google has it's own search engine in each country..

Fair enough. I wondered how that kind of thing worked!
