when i am in the 'dangerously underweight' bmi zone i get more passes made at me than when i am in the 'healthy' bmi zone.
i've often wondered about this one...
it makes no evolutionary sense for men to prefer a weaker, less fertile female, so what is the psychology behind the guys that do?

It's called pity. They think you need a good dinner:biggrin1:

Most men are programmed ( APPARENTLY) to protect vunerable women - therefore they are drawn to people like Kylie.

Anytime I see something with doe eyes I take pot shots at it. It normally flushes out a gaggle of grunting, chest expanding men.

It's also probably indicative of where you live, & the social aspirations of the guys there.

It's still not as bad as a woman judging a man by his shoes!

The mentally stunted swim in the shallow end because anywhere deeper & they'll drown.

I went down to 13% body fat when training for my black belt grading.

I was all hard muscle and sharp angles and really the only soft part of me was my boobs which didn't really diminish in size at all...seeing my pecs under my boobs actually gave me a seriously weird double cleavage.

I can't say if I got hit on more but I was def. having more sex more often.
I possibly would have eaten most men alive.

I've never in my life been petite or small. At 15, I was 5'10" (same as now) and 135 pounds. Thought I was huge...b/c all the other girls in school were so much shorter than me and seemed (in my eyes) to be way more attractive.

I learned that petite would never descdribe me, but as an adult I am happy with 'full-figured', "curvy", "voluptous"... I never gave much thought to being thin because I knew that was not in my makeup.. not my destiny. I just try to eat right, exercise and take care of myself, and be happy with who I am.

I say that to answer the OP. I have been, in my adult life, everywhere from 145 - 210 pounds. I've never noticed that weight made a difference in the attention I recieved from men.

I think alot (NOT ALL) of male attention is based on how the woman percieves herself, carries herself and personifies sensuality or happiness. However, beauty if truly in the eye of the beholder...it really cannot be defined. I understand there are way too many qualifiers to address here and 'male attention depending on weight' is not something that is as simple as a yes or no answer.

hey now, lets not group all men into liking a certain body type. It's sort of like asking, "do all women want a big cock?" because I sure got a lot of looks and compliments when posting pics. Guys will look at everything. As one poster said, a very thin woman is not super common so we may look a little longer. Is it what all of us want, not necessarily. As long as healthy and proportioned, I like women of varying body types..no set standard.

I certainly hope I didn't imply that all guys like the same thing....far from it! My comments were meant to say the exact opposite. That, generally speaking, some (not all) guys are turned on more by personality and confidence than her size.

its because the men arent starving, so psychologically he has the means to plump you up. lol if guy is hungry he will be more attracted to overweight women.

learned that one from manswers lol

Well from my point of view - its preference. Everyone has different desire's but i would say the more desirable body shape would be that of a curvier woman, as it shows that the woman is fertile and healthy enough to carry a baby. Its male instinct to seek this out and we become drawn to it naturally - on the flip side - some men would prefer a woman with a petite body shape because it makes them look more masculine and powerful. A B.M.I is just a guideline - not everyone is the same. Some people look unhealthy when they lose weight, but more importantly do what feels right for you!
