Was wondering how many of you guys/girls have had a crush on a celebrity that would be considered weird or unusual? Someone who is completely not your type or not conventionally good looking - who for some reason does something for you?

I was reading an article about Adrien Brody and thinking about how I have always had a thing for him even though he is skinny, kinda weird looking with a huge nose! Yet, I think he is really sexy and would love to shag him!

I know lots of people who think Adrien Brody is good looking.

I can't really think of any especially odd ones of my own. Though on some of the cartoon erotica newsgroups I used to frequent I was frequently amazed at how many people seemed to have a Gadget fetish- Gadget being the little anthropomorphized blonde-haired inventor mouse on the show Chip n' Dale's Rescue Rangers.

haha.. I was kidding mostly. Though I don't think she's that bad looking. Certainly not vomit-inducing. On the other hand I think Streisand is hideous. Just personal preference... The reminds me I forgot to go back and respond to that thread.

I often find myself attracted to actors + actresses who are not conventionally beautiful--precisely because they seem totally unaware of their own attractiveness. They also tend to read as very "real" onscreen for this reason. Some random examples:

Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under)
Allison Janney (West Wing)
Cynthia Nixon (Sex and the City--cast as the "plain" one)
Patricia Clarkson (love her unconventional nose)
Jeff Goldblum
Wes Bentley (? I think that's his name) (American Beauty)

I also think that "sexiness" (which has more to do with personal charisma) and physical beauty are often quite unrelated...although admittedly when the two happen to be combined in one person the effect can be pretty strong!
