weird symptoms

I have been having a few problems for the past month and a half or so. First, i have these painless bumps, which my doctor looked at and said were "irritated hair folicles. I wasnt so worried about those until another similar one popped up. It is larger, and slightly itches. It has a hair growing out of it, so I would assume it is the same.

The other problem has me more worried. The fatty pad area right above the genitals has been very tender and sometimes swollen, on and off. I get these shooting/pulsing pains (nothing too bad, but annoying and uncomfortable) in that area, and other areas like my stomach, thighs, hips, shoulders even. even when the area isnt tender, i get these shooting pains or just an ache there or somewhere else. The muscle or gland or whatever is in this fatty pad is what has been swelled and causing the tenderness im pretty sure.

I know my description isnt very good, but any idea what this could be? Should I be concerned?

No piccy, Pecky!

I would say do not be embarrassed
to go back to your doctor because
the last checkup revealed nothing
out of order.

It's best to set your mind at ease.

Sounds like the second thing is a completely seperate issue from the hair bumps, did you bring that up to the doc or had you not mentioned it to him yet? If he brushes it off get a second opinion. Also, what kind of doc is he a GP? You might want to try a specialist in case it's something more obscure. That's all the advice I have, ask professionals.

um, if they don't itch or hurt, they ain't irritated, kinda by definition. follicles can easily become blocked by sebum or bits of debris from clothes fibers etc. when that happens they tend to swell and turn red - essentially they're zits, and can be dealt with accordingly.

The fatty pad area right above the genitals has been very tender and sometimes swollen, on and off. I get these shooting/pulsing pains (nothing too bad, but annoying and uncomfortable) in that area, and other areas like my stomach, thighs, hips, shoulders even.
sounds like you have glandular inflammation - probably from a viral infection or post-viral symptoms. had a cold, sore throat or flu lately? if not, see a doctor.

Yes, I had the flu about a month ago. These symptoms started probably at the most a few weeks before I had the flu. That would make sense if a virus could cause that. How long could these post viral symptoms last?

The first set of bumps that popped up were very very slightly itchy and irritated. this last one bump is larger, but looks exactly the same. it is much more itchy and irritated. not painful though.

I do trim down there with a trimmer, kinda close sometimes. this could cause the hair folicles to be blocked? Most of the bumps are on that fatty pad area, but there are 3 in a row on the underside of the head. They all look exactly the same, and with the exception of the ones on the head, they all seem to have a hair growing out of them, and swell red and look like a small pimple. How long do these usually take to go away? any advice to make the itchy one stop itching, or make them go away faster?

depends on your immune system. i'd say that over a month is unusual for a regular flu infection.

no, i don't think that's a likely cause. you should try tea tree oil or something similar to clear any blockages.
