I heard it has something to do with your penis. What do they do? And how to do them?

They are "pelvic floor exercises" to strengthen the pubococcygeus muscles. Women use them after childbirth and to gain better control over vaginal muscles. Men use them to firm up the erection and to gain better ejaculatory control.
If you know how to make your penis twitch without touching it then you know the general idea. Imagine stopping the flow of pee in mid-stream or actually do it a few times when peeing. those are the muscles that you are exercising. Once you've located the feeling of tensing them, you can contract them anywhere, anytime without anyone knowing. Do rapid repetitions, say 5 and then rest a second then repeat several times. and hold a contraction for a count of, say 5, before releasing and repeat several times. Kegels!
