What are the qualities and traits of an ideal mate?

What would you say makes the ideal mate? Should he/she be attractive, financially stable, intelligent, etc. Why would you choose these qualities and not others?

Just wondering about this question because I have little experiences with relationships and don't have many examples to base my definition on what is ideal. So, who and how would your ideal mate be?

You should feel that life is no worth living without her, or at least, that your life would be worse without her, and that you wouldn't see yourself matched to another woman, because what you want is HER and not "somebody".

Generally - assuming I'm physically attracted to them.

Compassion, intelligence, good sense of humour - I just find them to be so much more important.
