This has absolutely nothing to do with this site, but I thought I would ask anyway...

I just got home from vacation and in my kitchen there are bugs all over the cabinets, fridge, sink, and just flying around. My kitchen is SPOTLESS. No garbage left out, no dishes, nothing! These things look like fleas almost or gnats. What are they?! Where are they coming from?! I just cleaned my kitchen and bathroom even more yet they're still flying around....:frown1:

Any ideas>

A picture is worth a thousand words, I know getting a picture of them would be hard to do but might be worth a try.
On another note, they sound oddly like what my aunt had last year and they turned out to be some kind of termite.

They seem to really like my mirror in my living room, so I was able to get close and they are tiny little red/brown bugs. I tried taking a picture, but they are so tiny that my camera just has a little brown dot....

Hmmmm Maybe they are fruit flies... I may get some Indoor Fogger tomorrow to kill them... whenever I kill them they have some intense blood splattering on my hand or my damn wall.... so I have stopped killing them since they are messy haha.

They're so tiny that even a bite-sized piece of food behind a countertop or the fridge or something could result in swarms of them after a day or so. They have a 1 or 2 day lifecycle too i think so you could have a couple generations of them after a vacation. Also, they are small enough to fit through window screens so if you had a window open they can get in. If there was garbage or something right below the window that would draw them, you may end up with a disproportionate amount of them flying into the house. Most of the time, one or two get in the house when you have the door open, and then they just find something to eat in the house and multiply
