One does need a tan in the zombpocalypse
I was more thinking a vantage point for keeping an eye out. It has garden space too, so if somebody has seeds, that's an option for a food source.

Sounds like a good plan........my plan......become a zombie and eat brainsI was more thinking a vantage point for keeping an eye out. It has garden space too, so if somebody has seeds, that's an option for a food source.
On duty - Customized G31 (.357sig) (going back to a customized 17).A poster here in a thread was talking about shooting.....I didn't want to hijack thread
But for gun owners....what do you have...what do you carry...what would you want to carry(can be the same as what ya got)......and most importantly why
Forgot the reasons...... Glock for simplicity, reliability, and ease of use under stress. Interchangable mags with the smaller frames. Backup/second/third gun is ALWAYS same caliber. On duty - Customized G31 (.357sig) (going back to a customized 17).
Backup - G33 (going back to 26).
Off duty/Off duty crime scene response - Hand built Volkmann 1911 (.45) or G19.
Patrol Rifle/EDC Rifle - 16” DPMS M4 .... having a new 14” built now to replace it for ease of use from a seated driver position/maneuverability.
Shotty - Remington Marine Magnum .12 ga.
All purpose Rifle - Winchester model 94

‘Cause you scare me?*paranoid* why you need to know what kinda guns I got!?![]()
Totally understand long guns totally...in was ranger in us army.....so I definitely understand appeal of AR platformForgot the reasons...... Glock for simplicity, reliability, and ease of use under stress. Interchangable mags with the smaller frames. Backup/second/third gun is ALWAYS same caliber.
I grew up on 1911’s and love them to death, but with 8 rounds between reloads, they just can’t stay in the fight nowadays with turds carrying 100+ rounds when a Glock with 3 spares gets me 60-70+, but a 1911 with 4 spares still sits at 41.
DPMS because I like them. Next is a full custom though. .556 because with the right ammo, it’s a great choice.... lots of rounds with little recoil. But, it doesn’t do well against many “hard barriers”, so I’m researching having a 16” .308 built for barricade/automobile situations.
Why a .12? Because there are still some distances/situations that if you have notice, nothing beats a shotgun.
Winchester .94? May sound a little silly, but they’re small as hell, have no attachments to snag on anything, and you have 7-8 rounds that will punch through any soft armor out there and do extensive damage on tissue, unlike the .556.
A childhood friend is a SSA and firearms instructor for the FBI in a major SW field office. He is personally a die-hard .45 guy, however he got to take part in the last round of ammo testing the FBI did at Quantico, in which they made the decision to go back to the 9mm. He now personally carries the 9.Very interesting.....
A bit surprising....from sound of it your in law enforcement or some sort of security job
I would have thought you would shy a bit away from the 45 cal....while a nice round years ago....it's kinda fat....so guns buy necessity carry less....and no real advantage....9mm .357 Sig..or 10 seem like they offer more?
So give me a pros opinion?
I mean I love 1911.....but I am not doing it for living....and I just like it cause it's FUCKING cool as fuck
My Dad gave me an old 12-gauge shotgun when I moved from home. I have since had the barrel "shortened," ok, sawed off.
Legal as long as the barrel remains 18” or over.I think that is against Federal Law. Not that I care about your firearm, but the infamous Weavers suffered a raid in which the FBI killed several family members based on that charge if I am not mistaken.

That’s almost certainly a manufacturing defect in the metal, or was an overcharged round.hope you got it proffessionally 'cut' and tested Ellie
i did the same with my Dads shotgun, fired it and it 'opened' after fiing
geuss it was very unbalanced like a lot of us humans
scared the shit out of me, never used it again, in fact told Dad and we both immeaditaley destroyed it
i was about 15 i suppose, but age doesent favour us as being wise or thick??

Na. That’s a normal situation. You shouldn’t have any problems. Maybe a follow up phone call or visit, but even if that, it’s completely routine.Just returned from the police department as the 1st step registering a number of pistols inherited from my father.
Here, they have a rule you can only register 3 guns at a time!. I think there are 10. I must do all the paperwork 4 times and go through the background check as well 4 times.
I guess this will flag me at the FBI.
I thought this thread was going to be about what I was packing in boxes since I am moving.
Books, lots of books
Otherwise I got no guns.
I meant title to be click bait.....like what are you packing....in your pants.....
But whatever for you here is cool
What's the latest good book your read....what is latest bad book...and what is your favorite book
