1991 Chevy Cavalier. The old school one with the rubber strip guards on the doors. My eyes sparkle over when I think of my to-be 2005 Jeep Liberty Sport.

Dee, I had one of those Cavaliers back then. I hated the red stripe through the body side moulding, and the tape through the bumbers which I got rid of cause I couldn't stand it. I tried everything to get rid of that blasted red stripe on the sides of the car to no avail.

I now drive a 2004 Audi S-4 Cabriolet and a 2004 Infiniti FX-35.

Both fun vehicles! I am not an American car kind of guy. Although I had a six cylinder in my Cav and it was a great car for the few years that I had it. I just hated the way it looked! Short on funds, I bought the Chevy because it offered so many more features than the Japanese imports at the time.

Ciao

he is only joking and poking fun of the absurdity of expensive cars when so many have so little in this world----at least, i hope he is, for if he isnt this is gross display of wealth that is disapointing.

OH, just to stay "on topic" I drive a 2003 Eddie Bauer Ford Explorer. Only because the dealer is a client, I got a screamin' deal and the back two rows of seats fold down to create a very nice bedroom on wheels and the deck is perfect fuck height when I'm standing on the ground.

And my house is worth about 38 bucks. But I paid for it myself.

98 Black Jeep Cherokee, 6" lift, 35" tires and built for offroading. And I take it every chance I get. Funny thing is, women sometimes ask me if I "compensate much?", I always reply, "Wanna find out?" Only one took me up on the offer and said, "Why are you driving that? You don't need to compensate for anything. If anything you should be driving a Jetta" Makes me laugh everytime I think about it.

Heh. I never updated this thing. Turns out that I bought myself a 2005 Honda Civic as a 25th birthday present... just so happened that Isabella (my old Cav) had too many transmission issues and my car value was so low that it made sense just to replace the damn thing.

Red Alfa Spider Veloce Coda Tronca - 1982. 2-liters engine, 5-speed manual transmission, Power breaks. Electrical power windows, A/C, AM/FM/Cassette deck radio, bucket seats, brown leather/wood interior. Bought it for less than thousand bucks, self-restored with some help.

a 2003 chevy s-10 4x4 extended cab. rides like a moon rover. needed a new transmission at 25k miles. cassette deck and cd player both say "clean" on the display when i use them, after having cleaned them several times.

i lovingly named this gem of a vehicle "shittina".

I'm a huge car fanatic and was wondering what kind of car you drive.

I was also a huge car fanatic once, but now my car is just a vehicle to get me from point A to point B. My '99 Honda Accord has proven to be the most reliable and satisfying car I have ever owned.

Car update: the Malibu Maxx turned into a headache and with all of 19,000 miles on it, it is leaving me today, to be replaced by a lovely new white Toyota Solara V-6.

If the Solara is any indication, the Chrysler minivan will soon go the way of the Chevy and I'll get one of those Toyota minivans. Sorry Walt.

Having lived car-free all my adult life (nearly 15 years now), I took the plunge and bought a car today in anticipation of an upcoming move. Nothing too extravagant -- a 2002 Dodge Neon.

So, crap, now I'm a freakin' oil-company-supportin' gas-guzzlin' debt-payin' American. *sigh*

Before buying a car, please take a look at the safety ratings:

http://www.crashtest.com

I really like this site because it includes crash tests from different countries around the world. Plus, they take the weight of the car into consideration.

With technology as it is today, there's no excuse for car manufacturers who knowingly build unsafe automobiles - at least that's how I see it.

And besides, we wouldn't want any large penises to get mangled in an accident, would we?

Sell out! How does it feel to be contributing so happily to ozone depletion?

My yet-to-be-born grandchildren send you their regards from their underground shelters. :glare:

No, see, now that's a popular misconception. You just have to have short hair and be grouchy. I can see how you might get confused there...

You're never too old to learn new things, huh, Monty? ;)

Me and my fellow Subaru drivers (who only just happen to be lesbian) are going to be picketing outside mindseye's new place for his contributions to environmental destruction and the oppressive male-centric culture he so avidly supports. You should join us! You can lead the protest singing!

Steve,
While I would be happy to lead the singing, I don't own any plaid flannel, so I would stick out like a sore thumb.

I guess I was just confused that all the drivers of Subarus (Subari? Subarae?) had short hair and were grouchy. Many of them also do live in remote mountain communities, too. I guess you are just a male lesbian. LOL
