Since this has all been aired now anyway, here's the deal...

She did something that was deemed to be against the ToS, as a result, she was banned for 1 week, thats 7 days, at the end of which, she'll return in all her glory (I hope)

Can we please try and be mature about this? A little maturity goes a long way and costs very little. It really is time some people looked at their own behavior while bitching about the same from others.

(last part not directed at any specific members, so who ever ends up with the post above this, is not to take it personally, unless the advice fits ofc)

If we were to be mature about this, then we wouldn't be in this position. We'd understand that some people merely have the intention to disrupt, insult, belittle, dismiss, and otherwise be cruel to others simply because they can be. We'd realize that there was a problem with members who skirt the TOS only to invoke them and the mods loudly any time they feel the victim of what they willingly cause others to suffer. We'd look over at their behavior at the other place and know that our suspicions about their intentions are not misplaced. I'm certain that we would remember just what a happier, calmer, more stimulating place this is without being able to defend ourselves against unprovoked attacks for fear of being banned. Without question, LPSG would understand just who makes this place pleasant and interesting for new and veteran members.

I am hopeful this is a onetime incident for Cigarbabe, since it does not appear to be indicative to her true character.but, she was razor claws bared towards the late sugar and spice, but that's only because S&S was just and deliberately rude.

Xcuze seems to love to instigate, and I have very little if any doubt he won't stop here.

Cigarbabe, on the other hand, does show restraint.

I look forward to her return- BTW, when is that?

Now how on earth does he get away with this? This isn't trolling? Baiting? Insulting? I'm sure Igor will be around soon to chime in some support with the usual :saevil: (as if that doesn't tell you something about someone's intent when it isn't being used ironically) icon to follow.

Honestly, if you don't see it, then I believe the mod staff are just plain wrong about their actions in this matter. How could you not expect any reasonable person to say, "Fuck off!," when confronted with (of all things) insulting poetry if the mod staff lets it slide? If you want to defend people then do it, but if you don't, then don't be surprised and punishing when people do it themselves. You can't have it both ways.

As I wrote one friend who is a mod, I understand the situation. You guys hold a trial behind closed doors. We only get to hear the defense argument, not the prosecution argument. That puts the mods in a bad spot because the membership sometimes only sees one side of the story and usually, that side is easy to sympathize with. We may not know, as it has been argued, the whole story, but that's the choice of the mods, not the membership. The mods do their thing in secret by their own choice, and so the outcome of whatever happens is something they have to live with because that's the process they've adopted. I'm not saying if it's right or wrong, but it does mean that the membership will frequently have a skewed view of what's happening.

I try to factor that into my opinion of what happens here.

In this situation, however, I can't help but see an issue of fairness.

I hope you're telling the truth.

As I see it, you came here, starting well enough, and then got more and more belligerent until you started insulting anyone and everyone to the point you could get away with it and usually with little to no provocation. I didn't have any problem with you until I noticed this, steered clear, and then caught you trying to take a chunk out of a respected member with whom you clearly had no prior contact. That proved to me you were being indiscriminate in your attacks because if you had bothered to learn about the person on the other end of your insult, you would have realized how completely wrong and hurtful you were. After that, it all just snowballed. As you wrote:

I support CB as she's a friend but now you've managed to insult all of her friends in one fell swoop. It seems to me you don't consider people on the other end of your poison pen. You don't see that there are living, breathing, people capable of being hurt by you and when they strike back, you viciously lash out at them for daring to insult you back, trying to get them banned.

That's why I believe you've turned into a troll here. Maybe that's not your intention, but it's what you've become in the view of myself and others. Start some mass apology writing and I might think differently. I don't like to hold grudges or dislike the people I interact with. I'd much prefer to make friends than enemies. In this case, I felt I wasn't left with any choice because your actions spelled out your intentions so clearly.

Oh yeah, please quit telling the moderators how to do their jobs. Its getting embarrassing. Just coz they made a judgement call against one of your friends. Secondly, there are 13 moderators & none of them are stupid or vindictive. They do not need u constantly telling them how to do their job. Its just rude & patronising. Get over yourself. Do u see me doing it? No. All I do is defend my corner & respond to attacks; like the half-page nasty tirade, pathetically disguised as a poem above. As I have every right to do so.

Cigarbabe has said things to me that u probably have no idea of. Even the mods dont because I actually let all of her insults go unreported. Eventually I did report her the one time. I didnt know it would actually get her banned, but it did. I reported it so that if anything kicked off on the message boards then there would be some record of her instigating behind the scenes. That was my reason for reporting. Am I sorry she was banned? Hell no. If Id reported everything she threw at me then she'd probably be banned permanently - so she should be grateful for the 7 days only. Thats how I see it.

After reading some of these posts.....i'm frankly astonished i got suspended last week.
It seems to me at least.....CLEARLY.....That whom so ever REPORTS a greviance against someone else, is in the 'rights'. Grease the squeakin' wheel.
