While not a bell curve, the 'average' girth on this chart is between 4.5" and 5". Girth of 4" is not uncommon, but the chart tapers dramatically at 6", which makes many men on this size very large. This may account for some of the experiences many have been through (5" to 6" in circumference is a major increase in volume).

if you google "average penis" it automatically corrects it to "big penis" because no one would ever search for average penises. if you type "small penis" it automatically adds an "lol" at the end of the line cause they're only good for laughs. those google guys are pretty immature

I have had a couple of lovers who were "sporting girls" who I think had a pretty good estimate of size. When they discussed average penis size, I suspect they were referring to visible length or NBPEL. From their input and the opinions of other sexually-experienced women offered on the internet, I believe that 5 inches is considerably closer to average than 6 inches, and anything over 6" NBPEL is big.

A recent study from condomania which looked at the sizes of "They fit" condoms ordered by men based on their self-measurements using their so-called "Fit Kit" revealed that 25% of men were less than 5", 50% were between 5" and 6", and only 25% were longer than 6". Again, this coming from the results of condom sizing, the length measurements are probably reflective of NBPEL.

Stretched length when flaccid done with the right intensity is usually roughly 0.5" less than the erect length (more reliable since participants don't have to get an erection on demand to be measured). Which puts the average at somewhere around 5.5", with a rough majority of guys falling between 5.1" and 6".

I read a couple posts where they say 6 is big.... Wow, so does that make me big?? LOL, well it sure makes me feel good. I looked at a 6inch ruler right now, and it looks big enough to satisfy a vagina.... My girth is pretty weak though. I think I'm average length and girth, but all you guys girfriends that are saying 6 is big and 5 is the average is making me feel good!!

Acutually the majority of surveys indicate the average penis size as 5" to 6".

Nice. FYI the average erect length based on that is:

14.625cm
5.75"

Which seems to correlate with the most commonly cited range of 5.5"-6"

Average girth last I checked was something like 4.75" to 5". Some even stated it as 4.5". But there aren't many studies into girth.

Also, technically anything above 4" is within the normal range. Anything below 4" is called a micropenis.
