House was clean. Clothes were washed. Hubby was gone. I became bored.

Called a friend and went on a 7-mile hike in a nearby state park. Beautiful day. A little overcast, but we stayed dry.

• Returned a lost cell phone to its owner.
• Took my wife out for ice cream and picked up some salt & peppa shakers we painted at the pottery place now that they're done bakin in the kiln.
• Hit up Costco for some stuff.
• Hit up Walmart for some more stuff.
• Started watchin "The Dragon Prince" on Netflix (same creator who did Avatar the last Airbender).

Nothing so far.

Was going to do laundry this morning...slept in until 11am.
Was going to chill out and listen to music...surfed the 'net instead.
Was going to save money...I spent over $700 online shopping.
Was going to cook dinner...went to McDonalds instead.

Still achievable:
Sort/take out recycling and trash before bed.
Chill out and watch TV.
Go to bed before midnight.

Plus I guess it's not too late to cancel my online shopping.

Moved some furniture around in the house. Fixed the vacuum cleaner because my husband somehow manages to clog it when he uses it. Fed my flock of birds. I was 2 hours late and they were screaming about it. Got my husband to call the furniture store to see if our new sectional will be delivered now that the website says it is discontinued. Made biscuits for my hubby because he tried to ask nicely, and I gave him shit for it anyway. It’s almost noon, so just a few more things to do and I’m going to take a nap.

My only day off, so many co-workers helping w Florence we are having to cover some shifts. So today was supposed to be a “get it done day”. Beds stripped & made. Laundry done. House cleaned, Yukon detailed.
Weather has been extremely hotter than normal. Dry cleaning dropped off.
Picked up about 100 crab apples grrrr this has never been a issue until this year....
Got my flu shot (required for work)
Thinking I’m on a roll today.... I even ordered new uniform pants. It was lunch time the phone rang, it was my older sister. My Niece Was hit by a car. She’s a nurse at the jail, was on her lunch break she went to get something to eat. Ugh she is in icu now after surgery two crushed wrist and a crushed femur. She’s lucky. This shut down my get it done day. She found out Monday she is pregnant. Always hard to see anyone in icu.
No head injuries thankfully. Grateful ...
How quick we are reminded there’s nothing More important than family!

Sprayed the house with Tempo. I hate bugs and spiders in the house!

Stopped by a friend's house for my weekly visit. Drank a couple beers and watched the NE v/s MI football game.

They also were having a garage sale. I don't normally do those. After a couple hours, she mentioned something about blue jeans for sale. I asked what size and they sounded like mine. Tried a pair on, perfect fit and like new. Scored 5 pairs for $20!

Joked with the buddy that we have been friend's for 34 years, and I finally got into his pants today!

I achieved a state of post-drinking nirvana by making the perfect marinated-in-lemon-honey-and-sesame-oil-then-crumbed chicken burger with bacon and homemade onion jam.

I got all my do's done. From work related to maintaining my household. Except for mopping the LR and the kitchen.

I really don't feel like mopping. I gave the floor a once-over with a dust mop, that is gonna have to do for today.

Tonight, when it cools down to "pavement slightly cooler than lava" I will take the doggos out for another walk. They are due for one now but it's Satan's Taint outside. I could feel the heat through my shoes. So not safe for doge-foots. For now, they get a yard-run.
