Well it was just Mom and I, so we didn't do anything special... we had green bean and ham casserole and mashed potatoes. I was thinking about making some caramel popcorn or some chocolate chip cookies, but I didn't.

Talk about a LOT of food kb
I made the mistake of visiting a friend whose kids were away for the day...so he Force Fed me a host of delicacies ... that made me comment we were real dickheads for trying to consume so much.
This was 3 hours after i had my Ham Lunch with the Family.....naughty indeed.
Quite disgusting actually ... now that i am partially starving....24hrs later

Where do you guys store those massive quantities of food after ingesting it? I need more storage space.

King salmon baked in German Riesling, lime juice and fresh ground peppercorn.

Oven-roasted chestnuts.

Watercress, leek and shiitake mushroom soup with ground ginger, curry, cumin and cardamon, served with tarragon croutons.

Italian Christmas here, the usual choice of soups, choice of a variety of pasta dishes with meatballs and sausages, garlic bread, with a salad. Can't wait to eat/graze off the leftovers over the weekend.

we had...
- Spinach/Artichoke dip as an appetizer (NO! We didn't go to TGI-Fridays:eek:)
- Twice-baked Potatoes SUPREMELY stuffed (remember I'm from North Dakota)
- KING CRAB legs - (with drawn butter) the real deal, they were the BEST!
- Real Maryland Style Crab-cakes (handmade by me although I'm NOT from Maryland) Because you can never have enough Crab on Christmas:smile:
- A nice White* Chardonnay (no offense NJ:rolleyes:)
- Fresh blackberries for dessert - although to be honest? I have no idea where on earth BLACKBERRIES are "fresh" right now...gonna take a wild stab here and say China but they were still good and (hopefully:eek:) melamine-free?

That dinner sounds pretty divine to me. I have a feeling the berries were from South America. It's pretty cold in China right now! But warm compared to ND!

There was some good eatin' going on yesterday. Maybe we need an LPSG cook-off some time!

For those of us that had more modest meals...we don't have to walk the treadmill to work the extra calories off.
