Went for spicy variants on the traditional meal items here, using cumin, curry, ginger and the like. Was an easier cook than most years.

I usually stay at home and cook for two (I was my mother's caregiver for almost 20 years) but since I'm alone now, my younger son's in-laws have adopted me into their family. On Christmas day they had family here from 3 states and D.C. and we ate buffet style (all homemade stuff:)

Virginia country ham.
Honeyed picnic ham.
Smoked turkey.
Stuffed flounder.
Pan cornbread dressing.
Corn pudding.
Walnut salad.
Green bean casserole.
Buttermilk biscuits.
Parkerhouse rolls.
Mashed potatoes and turkey gravy.
Stuffed clams.
Baked beans.
Scalloped potatoes.
Cranberry sauces.
Raspberry sauce.

and several kinds of pie for dessert.

I'm gonna like being part of their get-togethers.
