This thread is making me sick. I have been a RN for over 15 years and NEVER EVER would another nurse make a comment about a patient; it simply is not professional. When the human body needs medical attention it is to be treated with respect and honor; nothing more and nothing less. Some of the fantasies I have read are just that. Nurses do not care if a patient is big, small, wealthy or poor. They are being treated for a specific reason. The comment about patients being totally nude in the operating room is a total lie! Only the area being treated is exposed. Blanks are applied to maintain core temperature and as for erections….well that could never happen, drugs are introduced to prevent movement and well the patient is also catheterized….so never going to happen!! During a physical or a treatment what is going through a healthcare professionals mind is root cause of the problem and identifying the contributing factors. Diagnosing is like putting a huge jig saw puzzle together; as for a physical if it looks healthy and is working moving on….We do not linger around the genitals ohhh and awwwing So the individual attributes’ is mute and never have I seen, heard or witness anything other than what I described. Hats off to DC for being so straight forward and realizing that a professional in healthcare do it for the love of the human being and years and years of studies and continual studies is what is required to be a “Professional” This thread has actually made me upset and very angry and sick to my stomach….it is as if member(s) are looking for a steamy story….well that is for the porn industry not health care. This is the oath I took some 15 years ago and I live it line by line each and every day!!!
