Hi,

I work as a project manager and assist start up cultural institutions who are connected through a partnership with my own in developing programming , exhibition. garnering brain trust, whatever . From my training, I could have probably worked at a large metropolitan auction house or been on "The Road Show." I also perform and teach Historical Interpretation.

Yes, Jacinto, good luck in the coming school year.

I'd like to be around when you have the class study Shakespeare.

Student as Juliet: "Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou, Romeo?"

DMW as Romeo: (grabs his crotch) "I got your 'wherefore art thou' right here!"

:toast:

I'm an ergonomist. A beer for anyone who actually knows what that is!

I had the pleasure of being a full time mom until a year ago. Toughest job I've ever done! Right now, I have the blessed fortune of a flexible job, so I can pick up my son at 2:30-3pm and finish working in the evening/weekends.

Attn: Cypher,
I have some gold & have awaiting the right time to cash it in. I could really use the money very soon, ( as in the next several months),as I am in graduate school. I visit kitco.com almost daily. I may private message you for your ideas on when to cash it in.
Other than some stock that my Dad started up for me from a small amount of cash that my Mom left for me when she passed away, I have no expereince with the stock market, but the gold futures/investments I can understand a little.

Regarding the main topic, I am in the healthcare field.

Nienna & TexAss girl,
being a mother has been/is the toughest job of all. One never stops being a mother & right now I'm trying to get used to having 3 of my children out on their own in this big world & enjoying more free time in a different way. It is a mixed blessing.

Um... that's someone who designs ergonomic desks and chairs, and even down to things like computer mice (?) and keyboards.

Can I get my beer now? And Dr. Rock's too?

A company I worked for went through an ergomaniacal phase wherein I had to survey every workstation in my area. Recommendations for improving workspaces included everything from more comfortable floor mats to raising or lowering tables to reduce back strain to spring-loaded box bottoms that would raise towards the operator as it emptied to eliminate bending over to get the last pieces in the bottom.

The all-consuming effort even went so far as to have the knob removed from a certain door because passersby frequently banged their arm on it.

I am reading the board during a break from packing up my car (yes, the Chartreuse PT Cruiser) to move away from NO once again to resume my teaching post. Wish me luck ... please!

Best of luck, and I wish I were going back. I retired after more than 40 years of teaching, and I'm facing severe withdrawal symptoms at the reality of losing my kids this fall. We need teachers like you, and I'm glad to know that your students are blessed with one of the best teachers around. After reading your posts for the last 7 months or so, I have a pretty good idea of the quality of teacher you are. The testimonial from one of your students corroborates that also.

I'm a student. Studying Business And Finance and I also had the option of studying a language, I chose...*drumroll* Japanese! :)

I already know un peu de francais, enough to blag someone into believin I'm decent at it (I hope hehe). And I know genki des ka in Japanese, and also domo/arigato/domo arigato ('hows it hanging' and thank you).

I write things sometimes too, gonna see about getting them published in some magazines or somethin, make a bit of cash if I can.

Yet another educator here. I teach reading and writing at the local college and supervise/train other faculty. And I love it. It really monopolizes my time and the poverty thing is a drag, but I love seeing adult students implement positive change in their lives. Rewarding stuff.

(It's encouraging to me to see that so many of the open-minded and supportive people here are out there teaching---we need all the good ones we can get, don't we?)

You design equipment for the proper proportions of the person in question. Most often office furniture, but you can save a lot more money doing it in the manufacturing division.

Summertime:

By all means, email me and I'll see what I can do for you. I am always sympathetic to the plight of graduate students. I think my email address is in my profile here....ah, my profile!

As a rule, however, if you are dealing in smaller quantities of gold, and I will arbitrarily say anything less than 50 troy ounces, it is generally better to deal locally than with a national brokerage, unless you bought the gold in question from that national brokerage, then they might (but generally don't) have an established "buyback policy" which is a vastly different thing from a "buyback guarantee."
