I live in NYC now, and after paying through the nose for years for
insurance, parking, repairs due to bad drivers hitting my cars while
parked on the street or by parkiing attendants...etc., etc., etc.,
I finally decided to get rid of my car.....walk (good for me), use
busses, subways, or cabs (in a pinch)....an save money.
If I needed a car to make a trip out of the city, it would be cheaper
to rent.....

Been driving since 15 and once I was old enough and could afford
to buy a car, I have always liked old classic ones. Some of my
favorites were:

My First car:
1939 Cadillac "LaSalle" Series 50 4 Door Convertable.
Black with tan leather upholstery, black rag top.
(The "LaSalle" was discontinued because of WWII, and this
was the last year it was produced)
(As a teenager, I saved for 4 years..throwing newspapers,
flipping burgers, working in an auto garage, parking cars,
washing cars, and driving a delivery truck, etc. to buy it.
It cost me "as is" $800.00, and I put another $2,500 and
untold hours rebuilding it)

A few others I've owned and restored over the years:
1950 MG TD Roadster/Sports Car - Convertible -
Rightside Steering
Forrest Green with Black Leather upholstery and rag top.
Restored to new.

My favorite car and last car
1955 Triumph TR2 Sports Car - Convertible - Leftside Steering
Rolls Royce Silver with Black Leather upholstery and rag top.
Completely restored to new.

1950 Jaguar XK120 - 2 seater Coupe - Rightside Steering
Fire Engine Red with Black leather upholstery
Completely restored to new.

1954/5(?) Borgword (sp?) 2 seater Coupe
Green..too expensive to repair and restore...Parts unavailable.
Sold it after only 6 months

1948 Buick Roadmaster 4 door Hardtop Convertible
Yellow with black upholstery and hard top
Restored.

1940 Packard V8 Coupe - Convertible
Black with tan upholstery and white rag top.
Too expensive to buy parts and to service...got rid of it.

1950 Chrysler Town and Country 3Door Hardtop
Maroon with Birchwood (?) trim and Black Leather upholstery.
Restored to new.

1962 Plymouth Fury Sports Convertible
White with red leather upholstery and white rag top.
Restored.

1957 Ford Thuderbird Convertible & Hardtop
Red with black leather upholstery, black hard and rag top.
Restored.

Living in Boston, I walk to work downtown, or take the T. Do I make or break the car/cock stereotype <grins>? And, previous cars have been very, very modest despite having the means to drive almost any make. As a finance guy, I just cannot rationalize spending $40K plus on a status symbol.

I currently drive a navy blue Chrysler Sebring (the 2000 model, non-convertible) and a pine green Chrysler 300C from the 2005 inventory. Both were purchased at a fraction of the cost (Blue Book) following 2 years runs as my company car (I'm an actuary). Since both were through the job I think it's safe to say my penis size was not as much a factor as my performance. The company no longer supplies cars so I am still using these for a while longer.

My youngest son (20) has my old 88 LeBaron.

I don't have a penis to compare it to, but I drive a bicycle. My boyfriend, who does have a penis, also drives a bike. We have previously both driven VW Golfs (but have no need of a car currently). I don't know what that says about us.

Men with big dicks can drive expensive cars too.

If they think a Mercedes is nicer than a Volvo or whatever, then it's their choice how they spend their money. I wouldn't spend like 100k on a car either...

But I do think Mercedes has very nice cars...

It says that you are sensible, pragmatic people who probably don't live in the US.
