Turning 30 didn't bother me, nor did turning 40. However, at 25 I had a major midlife crisis meltdown. Getting progressive lenses last year was the most traumatized I have been by growing older since I was 25. There is just something about needing and wearing bi-focals that annoys me. :irked:

I'll be 35 December the 4th and I hate being alone. I just want to grow old with a loving man and live out life however facinating it may be. :)
I feel you girlfrien'. I want the same thing and I'm older than you. It helps to not be despondent about it or let it occupy my every waking thought.

Virginia Wolf " I don't believe in aging, I believe in forever altering one's aspect to the sun"
Nice advice but it takes twice as long to get ready in the morning to look naturally fabulous!

Well, your face starts to melt, and what used to be a smile is now a frown.

You can excercise your body to stay somewhat tight and firm, but the face has a mind of its own. And whats with the little turkey neck pooch you get? And if you try to wear a turtleneck, it even looks worse. They always say, your true age shows in your neck....

Oh god, this is getting depressing. Let me go watch some porn. :biggrin1:

Running injuries that came and went decades ago came back to haunt me in my mid 40s. I had to accept that my legs won't let me run distances anymore. Happily, I found another cardio routine - cycling! As I've become older, there are more aches and pains than years ago. The best way to minimize them is to stay as healthy and fit as you can.

I hate the fact that others complain about it. I wouldn't want to be younger. I simply could not do without the wisdom I've obtained, especially about myself and the way I am so much more capable of feeling for others. I'm proud to say, I'm grateful and like fine wine, yes, I am getting better. I appreciate life and what I hate most is......"HATE".

*gets on hands and knees and bows down to midlifebear's last post*

Youuuuuu speeaaakkkkk theeeee troooooooooth.

Yeah ... I totally agree ... I can't tell you how often I've seen some hot-bodied early-20-something who then opens her/his mouth and the most clueless stuff comes tumbling out ... and I think, Thank You, Jesus, for that boner-killing phenomenon
