I got my tattoo the old fashioned way, I joined the Navy. There used to be stories connected to getting a tattoo. Getting a permision slip from your mom was not one of them.

The other day I was at the grocery store and there was a women squatting down to get something from the bottom shelf. I notice she had the tramp stamp and a thong sticking out. I wanted to get a closer look, turn out she was quite a bit older then I first thought and it just appeared sad that she's trying to keep up with the younger girls.

I think tattoos are hot...male or female. However, as hotbtm stated, some can be sexier than others...

So, rico, do you like mine?

Look folks, I really hate the 'if you are young then a tatt is ok' argument. What a bunch of horseshit!!!! I waited way too long to get mine and enjoy them. And all because I was buying into the crap that says I'll regret it when I'm older. Fuck, when I get to be 80 years old, no one is going to give a shit what I look like, whether it be with or without tatts. So please stop spouting that ageist crap.

If you want to get one and are getting it for yourself, then just go out and do it. I should have done it a long time ago and enjoyed it all along. Mine was an externalisation of an inner process, one that is still going on. Every time I look in the mirror, down at my arm or see someone else taking a peek, it reminds me of why I had them put on. I don't care if someone doesn't like them. And if you thought they were hot, then that's great! But in the end, they make ME feel hot and that's all that's important.

I'm seing more and more kids with tattoos on their face. Just recently I saw one with spider webs covering his forehead and both cheeks.

He's going to feel pretty stupid if he doesn't grow up to be a superhero.

vandalism of the body

Hmmm... not sure I get that, Nick. Unless someone held you down and gave you a big tatt of Oscar the Grouch on your back!!! LOL Now that would be vandalism. Otherwise, it's considered an exercise of free will.

Don't see why it's any different that the clothes that people choose to wear, the hair cuts they like, the music they listen to. Not for everyone but not up to me to judge them.

bods like yours make me think of the human body as a work of art to begin with ... so, it would be like placing a mustache on the mona lisa:wink:

For me, Tattoos and Piercings are definitely a turn-on. Maybe because I have a tongue piercing and plan to get a few tattoos and some more piercings... Of course, seeing a hot guy with no tattoos or piercings, is great too...

I don't exactly have a favorite type of tattoo that I like seeing on a person. But I will say, I wouldn't want to be with one of those people who tattoo their full body... That's kinda sick...

I don't have any tattoos and don't plan on getting any.

It's too permanent and it's more or less a fad that comes and goes throughout the years. They've been back in style for a while, but I have a feeling that like most things they will go back out of style again.

I have older relatives who have them and regret getting them when they were younger. They're all faded and kind of ugly looking now. You can get them removed with laser, but they will leave marks on your skin.

I don't care for them on women, but I have admired some on men, if they're done really well. One on the back or one on the upper arm looks okay. My cousin has a band going around his upper arm that looks really cool. And the advantage to it is that nobody can see it if he doesn't want it shown.

There are some guys that have them at the gym I go to, and one guy is so young, early 20's probably, and he's covered with them. They're all over his arms and legs, and he even has one on his neck. Another guy has a big fancy cross on his upper arm, and it looks really nice because that's all he has. It's not overdone.

If you're going to get one it's important to get a really good tattoo artist. I've seen some really lousy ones.

I actually like the idea of a tattoo and many do look good on both men and women. However; there is a concern that "down the road" the tattoo may not be something that I want. That is why I have done piercing body modification - limited to gential - but if needed they can be reomved and no one knows the difference - can't do that with tats.

I like tattoos if they are done right. I did some research on them and found out that a lot of professionals like lawyers have at lease one. I actually considered getting one but opted for a piercing instead.

I really like tribals and considered getting a small one on my left hip. I guess because they really look good on dark skin. However, I couldn't dream of having one of those big tattoos some women get that cover their boobs or lower back. They just scream ouch!!!!

Yeah, I get that about the mustache, except Mona might look real hot with a well placed tribal tatt on her left side. Get her to drop her robes and I'll let you know. LOL

Ah look, Nick. It really is one of those 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' things. I'd be very disappointed to get you in bed only to find you couldn't get it up cuz you found my tatts off-putting. That's why we invented off switches on the lights! You'd just have to use your hands, etc to look at me.:biggrin1:

As for Rico: Dude, those koi are yours to lick!

I have 'em, I like 'em. If you don't like 'em, don't get 'em. Pretty simple.

Nick, While I agree with the statement that certain bods are works or art, I feel that there are times when tasteful tats enhance that beauty. I seen pics of Hellboys tats and am aware of the meaning behind the koi and dragon. His pics excite me more than looking at galleries of cocks, but then I'm about 180 degrees from being a size queen. Thus, I can get off by looking at a buff body with tats and just imagining having sex with the guy. (Several porn stars come to mind.) As I'm bi-, tramp stamps on women also turn me on.

Rico, I don't care what Hellboy says, you gotta get in line, bud! And that means kissing me by proxy.

Successful tattoos tend to be on nice fit looking people who have created a unique tattoo that is cleverly thought through and genuinely meaningful to them

On flabby overweight people tattos can look awful and on women they can look as rough as fuck if they aren't tastefully done

Another example of sad tattoos is when they are clone like on the nightclub fascists

I have 3 tattoos. I love them all. One on each ankle and one on my left foot. I plan on getting my other foot done this summer.

I think tattoos are personal expression. When someone chooses to get one its normally a thought out process and has some meaning to that person. Mine are girly but have meaning to me and probably will not appeal to many people. But they are mine and I love them! See my gallery to see the kitty on my foot!

To those that have them - when we get old our kids will know we were cool at one time! lol
