*SNIP* When you see a guy in briefs or find out he wears briefs what do you think of him?
I don't think anything. First of all, his choice in underwear has never come up in conversation with any man. By the time I get to see his underwear, all I'm thinking is goody-goody gum drops, I'm gonna get to have sex! :biggrin1:

I don't like boxers, never have. So I might think, that it's nice he isn't a slave to undies fashion. I'm perfectly fine with a nice fitting pair of tighty whities or boxer briefs on a man.

Boxers and I have tried many times have to be the most uncomfortable underwear ever. The whole boxer thing started with the whole gangsta rap phase ( How To Be A Gangsta ), the underwear continuously bunches up and your dick and balls have no support. Hard crinkly cotton rubbing against you all day............ughhhh.

Here I was about to defend boxers when I read that post ^^ and realized that it is true. They do bunch up. They don't support, and they do chafe.

I wear UnderArmour BoxerJocks when I work out precisely because they alleviate all of the boxer issues. I wonder how they would be as an everyday underwear choice.

As for briefs, I don't particularly like the way they look on me. I have muscular legs and I think they make my junk look small for some reason. Boxers blur the area entirely, the boxerjock seems to show it off.

I think nothing of it, its their choice to wear them. I have no problem with briefs as I have a few in my collection as well. I mostly wear boxer-briefs however sometimes I do wear briefs when I come across them.

What I dont understand is why do people care what kind of underwear a man wears? Briefs, boxer-briefs, boxers, thongs, commando.... Once you strip to get in bed they dont join you... When you're fully clothes you cant see them.. so is it just a mental thing? or visual thing?

They don't support, and they do chafe.

I had testicular pain once and the doctor said 'No more boxers'. They just don't support your 'stuff'. Everything is just hanging down and swinging free hitting everything it can. The pain stopped almost immediately with boxer-briefs.

Calvins steel I like the pouch, for me they hold me snug and firmly and don't let my stuff jingle and jangle all over the place. Boxers to me is like wearing nothing. Which may be a good thing. But I easily get hardons, working in public I have to be more "secure".

Briefs are sexy looking. Much more of a turn on to look at than boxers. I wore briefs daily for over 50 years.

But I'm a boxers guy now. Not because of how they look, but because of how they feel. They don't have to be hard crinkly cotton. The brand I wear most is made from a sheer fabric that moves with your clothes. It's almost like freeballing. I never have problems with chafe. I don't get jock itch anymore. I never have to adjust because nothing gets pinched. Much more comfortable to me to be free instead of being constrained. As far as support? I think that it's overrated. I've run without support, and it feels fine to me than having tight sweaty underwear clinging to me. It's one of these "to each his own" things. What works for me may not work for other guys. I still have some cool briefs and trunks that I reserve for bedroom sports. There are times that it's fun to dress to be sexy and put comfort on the back burner.

I play soccer with my mates from work every week, all straight guys aged late 20's - early 30's & noticed recently that getting changed after having a shower, practically all wear briefs of various brands- CK etc. (not the high store ones!)

Went on a stag party recently and shared a room with my 2 mates & again it was briefs all the way.

At the gym, boxers / boxer briefs seem to be worn by men aged 40+ as far as I can see.

I wear long boxerjocks in winter, they keep my package in place without overheating, and keep my thighs warm without creeping up.

They bunch up? Really? I've never had an issue with that.

Briefs however are just uncomfortable, keeping everything that close to your body is just off putting for me.

I use more briefs and boxer briefs, I like the support, everything swinging around makes me feel a bit uncomfortable and really distracted, if you know what I mean lol

Also, I love that tight fit holding everything. For me if I like the style I would use :)

Personally I think briefs are VERY unattractive. It's honestly a big turn off for me to know that's the kind of underwear a man wears. White briefs make me think of either young boys, or old men. Colored briefs make me think of stereotypical gay twinks. (It's nothing wrong with that, it's just what they remind me of)

Boxers and boxer briefs are the sexiest to me. That's what I've been wearing since I was 13. It has nothing to do with style (well, it does now), but boxers and boxer briefs are just the most comfortable to me. Briefs are EXTREMELY uncomfortable for me. Too tight.

The first time we had to change clothes for gym was when I was in middle school. Everyone wore either boxers or boxer briefs. There was one kid who wore briefs that get picked on, but it was because he was not only "weird", but a jerk. His underwear choice had nothing to do with it.

I think the shift in underwear is a generational thing. No one wants to wear what there parents wore. One generation started wearing briefs, the next one boxers. My generation mostly wears boxer briefs, the next generation will probably wear trunks or a mixture of some kind, possibly briefs. It'll all come back in style eventually.

What do I think of a guy when I know he wears briefs? I think that he's sexy, confident, and I'd like to see them on him, before I slide them off.

I could be completely wrong about it all, but that's what I think when I know he wear briefs....

Briefs guy here. I personally like briefs due to their size. I have no interest in meaning any more material than I need to wear for underwear. I find boxers and boxer briefs to be hot to wear, trapping more heat against my body. As for guys thinking briefs are for kids? Would you say the same if a kid only wore boxers growing up rather than briefs? I think a guy should wear what ever feels best to him. These last several decades, briefs are very different from the plain old white briefs of our youth, just as boxers and boxer briefs are much more stylish and comfortable than the ones we all grew up with if you are middle age. As for comfort for you big guys, sometimes I think you guys put on a bit too much show about needing so much room for your junk! We get it, you are so well hung that you need a coffee can to hold your junk!LOL I am surprised to see that the fraternity I am a part of now as a alumni, I have seen that many of the guys have switched to briefs because they find them more comfortable and their girlfriends love them in them LOL Times and taste of style are always changing.

If it's the "tighty whitie" cheap style briefs with the fly, then it looks like a guy has given up on himself, doesn't care how he looks or feels inside out out, and just wants to wear the cheapest thing he can find. If it's a more stylish "pouch" style brief, or bikini brief, or really anything that doesn't have a fly, then it looks like a guy made a conscious decision to wear something that's truly comfortable and has a little unique style to it.

If he's comfortable and confident in briefs, I applaud him. If I'm having sex with him, he's not going to have "them" on long... so it's pretty moot.

Around here (DC 'burbs), I see all ages wearing all sorts of underwear when they strip in the locker room.Fifteen-twenty years ago, teens wore boxers... Now it's just one of many choices. I grew up wearing briefs (usually whatever was cheap when my mom went shopping). I hang pretty big, but my briefs weren't over-tight. I'd stretch 'em out pretty quickly.

I wore boxers for a while in college (I hated having to tuck the boxer legs in), tried boxer briefs (never ventured into a thong or other super-skimpy underwear)... And now I'm back to whatever's clean and fits my mood. I'm wearing boxers now... but tomorrow I may feel like it's a brief day. I always wear a jock under my shorts when I work out.
