I’m curious what is typical swim wear for doing laps in a pool. I go to an LA Fitness in the states, so I normally wear jammers. But I’ll be in London next month and not sure if I should instead wear my speedo for laps.

What do you guys recommend? EE0D0339-C603-41A7-975D-5B9E60587349.jpeg

If you’re asking specifically about swimwear in London, I have no answer. For lap swimming in the US, I can attest that serious swimmers wear jammers, albeit I am neither a serious swimmer nor do I myself wear jammers. I presume that jammers would be acceptable the world over, given that they are widely worn at Olympic and other international swimming events.

Haha - screw the towel dance, I plan to be naked as much as possible in the showers and locker room.

I wear shiny sort of metallic looking swim briefs of the (Brazilean) brand Go Southern. It was years ago I bought six briefs of different colours. That brand has disappeared.

For competition I wear Arena Waternity briefs in club print.

Usually a brief bikini, sometimes a thong. Never board shorts although it's depressing to see how many guys still wear them when doing laps

When I was heavier: nothing in the back yard, but a t-shirt and boardies at friends and families' houses and the beach.

Now: nothing in the back yard, trunks at friends and families' houses and the beach.

Once I reach my goal weight: nothing in the back yard. As close to nothing everywhere else as is tasteful. And maybe a few nude beaches.
