Ouch! Yeah, I know a few people who have Barrett's Esophagus. From what I understand, it's basically pre-cancerous changes to the lining of the esophagus. Here's to hoping that everything goes well with you.

Thanks.

That's why I'm supposed to have a 'scopy every 2 years - to keep an eye on it. Although my doc thinks any chance of cancer is a long way away so I can't be too bad yet. My main concern is that the medication can only treat the reflux, rather than treat the BE.

(I usually spell it with an 'o' but that would mean I suffer from BO, lol.)

BTW, Raberprazole is marketed as "Aciphex" in the US. Say that three times fast. :biggrin1:

Ass he fucks? :biggrin1:

I'm on lexapro for depression and anxiety and soon likely seroquel for psychotic symptoms and mania. I'm schizoaffective, the bipolar type. Which is basically schizophrenia + depression or bipolar. Pretty hardcore, but I manage!

I'm also on a crapload of stimulants on workout days, which I REALLY shouldn't be, but it takes a lot to push me into mania.

AssEffects. Any time I see a commercial for it, I can't help but think of "Mr. Methane," who can play a tune just by farting!:biggrin1::eek22:

So you're talking about drugs like now, not 20 years ago, right? OK, well, I'm hooked on St. Joseph baby aspirin 'cause I love the taste! No, my better half suggested I take one every day since I'm pushing 50.

Believe it or not, I've never been a big fan of recreational pharmaceuticals. I was more of an herb proponent. Now recreational drugs for me are more like Viagra. Not that I need it, you understand.

In the past:

Zoloft - Depression and anxiety
Logynon ED ('the pill') - Contraception. Which led to a pulmonary embolism and me taking . . .
Warfarin - Prevention/healing of blood clots in the lungs.
Clexane - Treatment of blood clots.
Implanon - Contraception

Currently:

Rhinocort - Hayfever.
Crestor - High cholesterol.
Microlut - Contraception.

I also take panadeine forte, ibuprofen and panadol as required for chronic back pain. And I've had occasional antibiotics over the years. I think that's it.

Currently: Hydrocodone Ibuprofen 7.5/200 and Ibuprofen 600mg tabs. Yay for getting a tooth yanked out of my skull. After having my gum cut into, and bone ground off of part of my jaw
