"What Happened To All The Nice Guys?"

Idk, the tone of that post seems bitter and retributive (and fiction) more than a home truth. Clearly, this guy was too much of a pussy to speak up about his own feelings and wanted the women to mind-read and know his support meant he was interested romantically.
He's confident now, and that's fine, but it isn't the woman's fault that he could not find his balls or clean up a bit until after she started seeing someone else. Obviously, he still a bit of a whiner and that's likely why she didn't fuck his ass initially.
Personally, happy to say I am with a "nice guy" and can't imagine my life without him, but most of my relationships have been with good men (I would say all, but then there's one I still want to smack in the fucking face :08. I fucked a couple of bad boys or players, sure, but, we both new what the deal was and there was never any intention of entering a relationship or crying on some limp, douche bag's shoulder about it.
typical, female runs to the defence of other females even if they are totally in the wrong
simple fact is very few women are worthy of a nice guy
so you get what is available

the simple fact is that few guys have a healthy attitude about women. Most guys think women are crazy, ..selfish, ..materialistic, ..shallow..
so get what you deserve..

I don't know why some women don't like nice guys. TheBoyfriend and I were actually just discussing this the other day.
TheBoyfriend is super nice. Where I met TheBoyfriend, which was my last city of residence where he was working for 6 months, women seem to be all about the nice guy, but that was a place that's well known for it's friendliness and niceness, so maybe it's a different culture? All of my single female friends chased him. He's worthy of being chased.
However, he tells me where he is from it is different and he got less attention from women, many of whom considered him the nice guy friend. When we began dating, he had a male and a female roommate. His female roommate never noticed that he had a penis until I began dating him, which is when she began acting catty and jealous towards me all the time. Maybe it was all the happy sex sounds we made in the bedroom that did it, or maybe some women don't notice a man unless another woman seems to be happy with him, but TheBoyfriend is the quintessential nice guy and women like her fail to notice him unless something else reminds them that he's a real man. In my opinion, he wasn't missing out on anything. She wasn't a good catch, so her failure to notice earlier that he's a great catch was her loss!
Maybe that needs to be taken to heart. If a woman doesn't notice the good qualities in a man, maybe she's not such a great catch herself? Maybe you've dodged a bullet if someone can't see a good character and a good heart in others when they should. That person might not be the best person to date.
Regardless of what motivates other women, that's not me. Most of my ex-es are the "nice guy" type, with a few glaring examples of bad decisions around the time I was 21 years old. Hormones, youthful naivete, and alcohol negatively affected my judgment. I learned my lesson quickly although a little painfully.

Most people lack the character required to be successful by any standard. But its not usually their fault - there are few positive role models and very little guidance offered that doesn't have ulterior motives. At 15, 20, 25, years old, we just don't know better about what's good for us unless we get lucky or were fortunate enough to be raised in a healthy family environment.
But to answer the OP:
Most of 'em are snatched up, for better or for worse, by a wifey and have kids. Or, they've become successful and wealthy enough to have their pick and for some reason haven't been waiting around for you to come by. Or they're gay.

Those posts are the feelings of a lot of men.
And they are dismissed.
Well ladies a lot of men feel this way because a lot of women have not rewarded nice guy behavior and reward jerks and assholes.
Find a nice guy that is say over 21.
I bet at some point there was a woman friend

Did stuff for
Give rides or lent his car
Help move or paint the apartment
Walk the dog
Provided emotional support when she needed someone to talk to
about some man
and another man
and another man
who mistreated her
And at some point was told
"I love having you as a friend"
"I wouldn't want to ruin our friendship by getting involved."
Translation:
"You are a nice guy."
"I only fuck assholes."
And the guy is thinking
"Let's risk ruining it"
and eventually his thought was
"Well it is ruined, because I can't stand to hear about how unappreciative the guy you just had sex with is when I am appreciative without sex and you won't have it with me."
And that may have repeated itself a few times.
And some of the nice men became jerks and assholes.
Some stayed nice guys.
And there were smarter women treated the nice guys right.
And who have the nice guys.
And who keep their mouth shut around the complaining women
because those women
will probably try to take those nice guys for themselves.
