For me, I would say three things.

1) Never give up
2)Its important to have a good sense of humor,
but its also important to take life seriously
3) The golden rule: Treat people like you would like to be treated

Life sucks and isn't fair.
The one thing you need more than anything else is money.
You can never underestimate the cruelty/stupidity of the average person.

My three lessons.

1. "Why?" is almost always a totally pointless question.
2. Sometimes giving up is not just the right thing to do, but the only thing to do.
3. You can't learn someone else's lessons for them. (so lists like this are essentially pointless, but still - we all get to sound wise and 'lived-in', don't we )

1. Always keep a huge stack of chocolate. This will save your life in times of dire stress, general disappointment in the human race, depression and exams.
2. Always have a big hidden stack of chocolate, in case a life-threatening situation occurs and an individual whose life was in danger appears to have found aforementioned huge stack of chocolate (YOURS!).
3. Never EVER disclose the location of this secret chocolate-storage place.
4. In case point 1-3 have failed, go in search of someone elses stack of (hidden) chocolate. It's all about ur survival skillzz. And PMS.
5. ... hmmm... chocolate... *drools*

... Well you have to admit... it *was* kind of silly, no?

You take the good you take the bad the take the rest and... well you know how the song goes. Seriously you only have one life so make the most of it. The only two things you can count on 100% are death and taxes.

By the time you figure anything out, it is too late to do anything about it. And in any case, you probably haven't really figured it out anyway.

And don't forget chocolate.

I can always be nice to others and still be a strong person
Nothing feels better than helping someone or something in need
Love is the most wonderful feeling in the world
Nothing feels better to my sense's than grass under bare feet or rain, sun or wind caressing my skin, the sound of the ocean is calming and horses are the most beautiful animals on the planet
And nothing sounds better than the sound of a childs laughter

Horse's what?

(You need to read this thread, sweetums.)

Seriously though - that's highly subjective. Loads of things feel better to my senses than those things. And I don't share your opinion on horses either.

Work hard, play hard, and generally speaking, it's pretty good!
Have a hard-on, die young and leave a good-looking corpse?
in case of pissed -off (americuns)people: James Dean. Or was it Niel Young? They all look alike, anyway.
Sit back and wait for the rightous s#$%^to descend.

The only thing that matters, ultimately, is how you view yourself; the opinions of others are largely irrelevant except where they are actually malevolent.

Anything which cannot bend breaks very easily; anything which is not growing is dying.

Health, wealth and happiness are entirely subjective and are subject to constant revision; failure to do so results in bitterness and self-hate.

"Fairness" is the province of 11-year-old girls on the playground; any other expectation of "fairness" is absurd and self-defeating.

Pain is largely forgotten, but memories of pleasure endure. So enjoy as much pleasure as you possibly can.
