I was hoping that that was something you did last week Seahorses :)

I should be so lucky. If that old furniture hasn’t long been burned it must at least be suffering from dire woodworm by now. Besides, we now have a glass top dining table; it gives a clearer view of the approaching bandits!

I like to draw and this a charcoal I did several years ago in the atrium of the Vancouver library. It was tough because there are several vanishing points in the perspective. The library itself is a glass cube surrounded by a curved outer build reminiscent of the Roman colosseum. I don't draw people very well I'm afraid.

I'm not dead impressed, but I thought I'd share it.

I was impressed.
I opened the jpeg before reading your post and immediately realized it was indeed the Vancouver library's atrium.
It's one of Moshe Safdie's better designs, imo.
You've caught it well.

Gracias Senor. I like the design as well. It was contraversal when it was new, and actually I still prefer the modernist design of the old library which is now a Virgin Records mega store.

When I finish my next beading project which I will finish today or tomorrow I will post a pic. Currently, I am working on a heart that I made out of sterling silver wire.

I am most pleased with a couple of barettes that I designed and that have some very intricate work. They are packed away at the moment and it's hard to get a really good pic since I don't have a decent camera.

What's with the fruit? Is this some English thing? I am curious SP, please fill me in on this tradition, and did you take any pics of it?

Fruit cake wedding cakes are also a norm here in South Africa. It's only just recently that people opt for sponge or other kinds of cake.

Please upload a photo of that, it sounds AMAZING!!!!

I would gladly have uploaded a photo, however all of them are high res which makes them way too big to upload.

There's a bunch of really talented people on here.
My contribution is I helped build our house and I like to do the arts and crafts thing. I made a blue bird house and a bat house that I am proud of. I put a lot of detail on them like cedar shakes on the roofs. Took forever but they turned out well and the blue birds actually use it! I'm still waiting on the bats to move in. I've read they are picky and the house has to be positioned just right.

Scan em' in and let us have a look please...
Scanning would not have been the practical method!:biggrin1:

I took some digital photos; not great, I didn't have time to set it up properly, but you can get the general idea:

Nauset Point Light (pastel on paper, 2004)

Race Rock Light (oil on canvas, 2006)

I really like those DC, they have a definite charm to them.:smile:

I admire people who can work well with pastels. It's one of my favorite mediums.
