You have to let the Moderator know you want to be a Gold Member. After you satisfy the Moderator, then you are all set. He makes you a Gold Member.

You click on the CP tab on the bar right at the top of the page.
Click on Edit Profile.
Click on Paid subscriptions.
Click on the Cost button in order to see the cost.
Click on order... after that you're on your own.
