Boyfriend and I will be going to Key West soon. We are not staying at one of the gay resorts, but was wondering what it's like? Might go to one of the pool parties at Island House. Do guys wear speedos on the beach there?
This isn't an observation on the gay life there. But we were struck by the absence of tropical, beach-like opportunities. It's more built-up, and the atmosphere is centered around clubs, bars, and restaurants, more than on beaches. But driving a few miles back on the keys, you'll find beaches.
We love going back to Palm Springs (no beaches, but pool culture abounds), but we've never discussed going back to Key West.
It's not really a beach town. It's not a place centered around a beach in the way that most costal Florida cities are. You don't need to wait for a pool party at Island House. It's always a pool and sex party. Just get a day pass and check it out.Boyfriend and I will be going to Key West soon. We are not staying at one of the gay resorts, but was wondering what it's like? I liked Key West. Rent a bike and explore it. Climb the lighthouse and see the six-toed cats. It's by no means a super gay place anymore overall, but that's fine.
Used to have swinger friends that went to Fantasy Fest there, they enjoyed. I cant stand crowds so I'd never go but they had a good time
Oh have been to Caliente a few times with swinger friends, also Paradise lakes... lol good times indeed. Yeah I have always preferred private house swinger partiesFor we straights Fantasy Fest isn't nearly as much fun as for gays. Most of the swingers we know at Caliente resort in Land O' Lakes go to private parties in Key West for their good times.
Still, if I were you stud, I'd go over to TPA airport and hop aboard a Silver Airways ATR turboprop for a flight down to EYW.
