What is on your hand out list this year? This is going to be the first YEAR ever that I am gonna hand out candy!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so stocked!!! I got some sour punch twist!! the 225 pieces:biggrin1: ALSO!! I also bought 5 BAGS ( 6 BALLOONS IN EACH) so 30 of Black pumpkin faced Punch balloons! Those I will give to the CUTE costumes are cute kid.. whatever I feel..." I only have 30... what are you all gonna hand out to the CUTE trick or treaters this year? I kinda want ONE more kind of candy.... I am still thinking on that one...
Don't really do Halloween in NZ, although more people do it here than in Aus... I really can't be arsed with it. Bah humbug =P
Dont really do Halloween here in Denmark either. So the candy I bought I'm not going to hand out but eat myself! :biggrin1: "Can't be arsed with it...." hahaha I like that for some reason
I always hand out Snickers, Almond Joys and Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. If there is anything left I don't mind eating it.
We don't really have kids who come by around here, but we do have Wicked Manors, which I'll be attending, natch.
Walnettos, Abba Zabas and Mary Janes. Most of the children do their trick or treat ritual along Hudson and along Bleecker in the stores, rarely do they go into the residentials, (most places are walk-ups and their accompanying parent/guardian isn't so happy about climbing 3 or 4 flights all over the place) so what I get is mostly for me, once the day is over. (Have to have the Abba Zabas shipped in)
We live in the country, so unfortunately we don't get trick or treaters. The only time of the year when I miss living in a city. I always loved handing out treats to the little tykes in their costumes.
I'm the last house on an unlit dead end road. Over the past 18 years I've had no more than 6 trick-or-treaters and average about 4. I buy 8 "regular" sized candy bars - 4 snickers and 4 almond joys. I figure those kids who takes the time to get to my house will be treated right.
I am pretty excited about this!! You all so do not know I ususally work and hand out stickers (one year), Erasers (last year) at the reg. I am still thinking should I buy a bag of chocolate? I am so not sure how many kids I am gonna get..
Halloween's supposed to be about frights, yes? So, I've always imagined it would be entertaining to hand out cuddly beasties like tarantulas, scorpions, millipedes, rats, black widows, roaches, rattlesnakes, etc.
I always have gone to my Aunt's house for halloween....she lives in a huge suburban (hell, but nice) neighborhood and I usually dress up and hand out good stuff... that's usually if I don't have a party to go to or I'm not out of town...this year I'm not and I don't...I always hand out candy I like...selfish I know...but usually snickers, peanut butter cups, kit-kats, obviously stuff without chocolate, like skittles, taffy...etc. I'm too nice though because I let the kids grab what they want...sometimes that gets me in trouble. The little ones don't always know what "take two of what you want" means... but it's cute.
We don't hand out candy here because you get adults coming to the door in plain clothing asking for candy or food, and when you say no, they get pissy. Plus, some are more interested in what's in the house, than the candy bowl. Too much trouble, not worth it.
I live in an apartment so we don't get trick or treaters. Just in case one does show up I did buy some fun size Snickers and Hershey bars. I only buy what I like so I can enjoy it if no one shows up.
Well, I bought MORE candy........ One bag of kit cats ( he he) One bag of snickers One bag of peanut butter cups One bag of twix Also, I bought ONE more ball to give away. Then a clear candy bowl with skull's on it. Also a bag of spider webs with spiders in it. Then two foam skulls If that is not Halloween then I don't know what is!!!!!! :biggrin1:
:biggrin1: Had a great Halloween! Many kids & Babies came to trick or treat! I have a load of SOUR twist left. All of the CHOCOLATE is GONE! All the prizes are about GONE except the few punch bags, pencils, stickers and transformer cards.... But, the kids had a GREAT time I think!!
