Most movies these days seem to fall into one of three categories:
1 - A sequel (or series of sequels) to an interesting original idea, where the script is terrible and the plot is predictable but hey woooooo CGI;
2 - An idea taken from comics (they've already scraped the bottom of the TV barrel); or
3 - the next Bond movie.
It's almost as though a well written script, brought to life by talented actors, is a rarity these days. Or maybe I'm just out of the cinematic loop.
I watched the first Matrix film. The concept was very interesting, but I didn't bother with the sequels. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being a fan of something, and I hope you enjoy the next chapter.
