What is the source of your insecurity?

Thanks for your post Vibe. Good to see that the law of Karma works for the bully you knew.

I need alone time but I also think being a hermit is emotionally and spiritually detrimental. I don't think you can grow as a person alone. We all need friends. At least I am. I'm not that strong to go this life alone. I've tried finding happiness alone and it doesn't work well.

I try not to dwell on the past because it's something I can't change.

There is a saying...

"To love and be loved is the greatest gift in the world." which I think is true.

I hope your gym relationship blossoms into something more than an acquaintance.
Sayings be as they may be.

We did not spring from a crowd Earl. If we had of, we would all look the same and speak the same language. You need to understand yourself first, before anything else.

I ask myself questions all the time. You would think I know better. :)

I look forward to proving that statement true someday.

And as for Allen (his middle name...to protect the "innocent"), I doubt that it ever will... But if it does, it's destined to be amazing, considering how hard it will be to get there...and nothing good ever comes w/o effort...

Fcuk, what a Debbie Downer Friday night...

But I don't think I'll ever understand me. And what I understand I don't particularly like. :frown1:

Just ask him to coffee. Won't know till ya try.

A lot of mine comes from the parasitic twin growing out of my back.

Um...boo to the second sentence... :frown1:

And oh yes, I've asked him out on more than one occasion, but there is always some excuse... I guess that will teach me not to read some guy's blog that he's had going for years, where how lonely his life is and has always been gets brought up every 4-5 months or so... Maybe he likes being a hermit...

I'm not ready to give up quite yet -- my own solitary life had provided me with an ample supply of patience... But like I said, I don't hold out a lot of hope.
