It's specifically trying to blame men's bad behavior on women... suggesting that the men are actually nice guys but have been goaded or tricked into acting like dicks.

The alternative is that men are responsible for their own behavior, full stop. If someone is treating others like shit, that's their own choices and their own actions.

Even when I did casual, I didn't fuck assholes. I would and did bang people with "non-ideal" body types per societal norms/media because they were interesting, liked the same kind of sex, respected boundaries, etc. It is the same for the other women I know who have done or do have casual sex.

Then he spends a lot of time beating her down emotionally so that she thinks she is a worthless human being and no one else would love her (because that's what he says to her or how he makes her feel through his actions).... so she stays. And not to mention the guilt that he makes her feel through his manipulative behaviour if she ever thinks of leaving.

For someone who claims to not be a misogynist, you're not doing yourself any favours in convincing others of this.

no, it is not in any way. the men in that situation are also to blame. understanding someone's reasoning does not mean you feel they are blameless.

there is a difference tho in someone being rude or a jerk and someone being directly abusive
holding women accountable for their own actions is not misogyny.....
