Speaking of Thailand, I read an article in the last week or so that they're cracking down on street food in Bangkok :( This is after CNN recently said Bangkok was the world's top city for street food. Supposedly by the end of the year, no more street food in Bangkok. I feel like their tourism revenue is going to take a dive and a lot of the "little" people are going to be hurting from it.

Not at all the same as cherry blossom season in Japan, but both on the East Coast and the West Coast, I really enjoy spring when all the blossoming cherries/etc are doing their thing. So lovely. I imagine there are cherries blossoming outside of the the coastlines of course, I just haven't personally seen them :p

Have you ever had a chance to scuba dive or snorkel in Hawaii? Good times
I haven't ever been to Hawaii. I'm heartnroken about street food in Thailand. Even if a certain silver fox still wants to take me, I don't have time to be in Asia this year.

I like hot tubs and fireplaces. I like luxurious bedding. I like meeting other tourists. I like seeing the sights, and having unplanned adventures. I love foreign coins. I have one from Singapore, though I have never been, that was given to me by an Australian in Paris. These kinds of quirky happenings appeal to me.

I'm bummed about street food in Bangkok too. Thailand is probably the first place Rem and I will visit when we get to travel together internationally. I follow multiple food/travel people on youtube etc and so much of the food in Thailand looks amazing. Nearly all the places the people visit are street food stalls/etc though.

My folks had a hot tub at a former house, and they used some sort of chemical other than chlorine to keep it clean, and it didn't smell awful or dehydrate the heck out of your skin. Sitting in it at night with snow falling down to kiss your skin and rest for a split second on your eyelashes was so tranquil. As for fireplaces, my/Rem's current place does have a fireplace, but we never use it. It doesn't really get cold enough to make using it practical. Singapore seems like there is a TON of amazing food to eat and a really unique culture/atmosphere to experience.

Regarding hot tubs, they probably either used salt or bromine. Personally, I love the smell of bromine. My hot tun at the house is kaput. I can't wait until I can afford a new one.

Why are men being so precious lately? Some of them just need to a good teaspoon of cement to harden the fuck up and stop being so petty.

As for the question, I'd love to go to Hawaii, Japan, the Maldives or figi. Somewhere tropical and beachy appeals to me. But also somewhere where we could snuggle up next to a fire would be so romantic. We don't get snow here and I'm not too sure if what are great snow time destinations... but maybe somewhere like the Swiss Alps :)

There's always Aspen in Colorado USA, as well as Whistler in British Columbia, CAD too, for snowy places. I find Aspen and Whistler to be a bit too tourist-y for my personal taste, but they can still be a fun place to visit. Also extremely tourist-y but a place that I enjoy more is Leavenworth, in Washington USA. It's very niche, but I have a lot of fond memories of spending time at a particular B&B there.

Thanks... I've heard of aspen from movies. And have heard good things about Whistler too. I'll add all those places to my list!

I would not want to be trapped for days with a new guy on a trip. Too many new guys turn out to be assholes.
This is why I love travelling by myself! I did not even want to travel with my ex... guess I haven't met anyone who I want to properly share my space (and all that jazz) with yet.

Seems all the women on this forum can do and say what they want and get away with it.

Have you been formally contacted by the powers that be about you not being able to say what you want? Because it sure appears to me and others you get to say whatever you want to the women and get away with it.

Sigh. They can't resist the lure of AAW, you know, considering the women here are so awful. You'd think they'd just go about their business in a part of the site not dedicated to responses from... women. They apparently believe they have the right to dictate how women here express themselves and that we have a duty to acquiesce.

I'm an avid camper. If me and the man could go anywhere I'd probably want to go back to the mountains of Colorado with my vintage camper and inhale the fresh mountain air and wash my face in the ice cold Creek water every morning.

Or go to a natural hot spring when the weather is cold at night and smoke joints legally while doing so.

I really want to visit a natural hot spring at some point. Apparently there are several within a not outrageous distance of where we are. Ideally it would be one of the clothing optional ones. Camping used to be my jam, but I think I enjoy my creature comforts too much now + back issues, so any camping I would do would be pretty "wussy" which feels like cheating to me :p

Question: If the OP had blocked the user he had issues with, like he should have done, wouldn't he have NOT seen whether she had posted or not?

Why people always have to try to call other ppl out, as if they are almost intentionally trying to cause drama and/or a fight, I will never know!

Correct. If you have someone on ignore their posts won't display (as well as threads that they create). It's what I had flat out suggested, multiple times. Instead, calling out happened. Ah well.

Hope you're doing well, haven't chatted with ya too much recently. Where would you go on vacation if you could pick? :D

Do I necessarily have to bring someone! Lol

But I would love to move to some remote island in the Caribbean and become a squatter! Lol! Gotta love the beach life!

As far as I'm concerned you can go solo, bring a gaggle of friends, a significant other, whatever you wanted to do, though the OP said for with someone you're seeing.

Ooh, Caribbean, eat some tasty things and relax. Maybe a little snorkeling now and then?
